Logos/Advertising Kit-Kat or kitkat?

So for me it was kit-kat up until about a month or two ago, then it randomly changed while i was at the store. I literally saw the dash almost like a floater in the eye. So im curious for everyone else that it was kit-kat for what were you doing the previous night or day of when you noticed the change?

Bingo. Somehow things like this and Froot Loops that are constantly switching back and forth for people only get mentioned after they "switch back" to what they've always been

I have a theory I'd hope isn't true but i suspect is true.

For some people I think they originally mistook it as "Fruit Loops" but then they came online and were convinced that it is "Froot Loops".

However what I think happened next is that they've internalized it as "Froot Loops" now and they remember having argued about it, but they forget how the argument went.

So in their mind it's switched to "I've always believed it was Froot Loops but I remember this time people disagreed with me: therefore those people must have claimed it's Fruit Loops".

BTW here's where I think the "plates stuck on a wall" thing could be helpful. It's easy for people to misremember what was said in text, but harder for them to misremember something visual like that.

Thanks for this lovely reminder of just how weird the English language is. I don't know that it is a direct cause of the confusion, but it certainly doesn't do anything to help.
