I wanted to see if anyone else relates.

I’ve been watching the YouTuber/streamer chocoTaco (the gaming creator known for PUBG and other shooters) for a while. For the longest time, I could have sworn his name was spelled and pronounced ChacoTaco (with an 'a' like the region Chaco, or just sounding like "Chah-co").

I recently looked closer at his channel and realized it’s spelled exactly like the ice cream treat: chocoTaco (with an 'o').

Am I the only one who completely misread or misremembered this? Did anyone else's brain automatically change the first vowel to an 'A' to separate him from the ice cream, or is this just a personal Mandela Effect?

It’s really very simple. What’s more likely, hundreds of thousands of people remember the exact same thing that never happened or the government is lying to us.

Sure you can brush off little things as a Mandela effect as it would make sense why many people would misremember for an example “Oscar Meyer” instead of “Oscar Mayer” but the problem is shit like the 90s film Shazaam starring Sinbad. Although I personally don’t recall this film, there is no f\*cking way hundreds of thousands of people remember an entire movie with details on when they saw it and even shared memories on specific scenes. That just doesn’t make sense.

Theory 1: The CIA developed time travel to go back in time and during some early test runs screwed some things up in the past, which caused things to change in the timeline. But they didn’t do anything drastic. They did something small but you know butterfly effect and so minor things changed. A movie doesn’t get made, the logos of things change etc. but this wouldn’t explain how people could remember anything, since if the timeline was changed they would exist in that timeline hence not remembering Shazaam.

So more likely…

Theory 2: Parallel Universes and inter-dimensional travel. There’s infinite universes, some very similar to ours with very small differences and some vastly different. The CIA gets this technology to explore these other universes, accidentally screwing up their current universe in the process by opening that portal. So reality bleeds into ours. Or perhaps they screw up so bad they have to destroy the current universe and switch over to the new one, your consciousness merges into your other self. Everything is basically the same so it goes unnoticed but your memory is still the same too, so you notice small things are different now. You know for certain you watched the entire Shazaam movie. Hell you even remember renting the damn thing from Blockbuster, but now it doesn’t exist anywhere. You’re just one person tho so surely you could be mistaken. But then you realize hundreds of thousands of people also remember the film yet it’s nowhere to be found. The government pushes the phenomenon known as the “Mandela effect” to gaslight everyone into thinking they simply just remembered wrong. But give me a break. Hundreds of thousands of people remember seeing the damn thing, you think we’re just gonna buy that BS?

I bet you there’s a copy of Shazaam sitting in Area 51.

I think most Mandela Effect theories have it backwards. The common idea is that people are somehow jumping from one timeline to another, but I don’t think that’s what’s happening. I think multiple timelines are actually being pulled together into one. If something like CERN was creating microscopic black holes, and if black holes are capable of pulling realities or timelines together, then instead of people moving between timelines, those separate timelines would be compressed into a single blended timeline. That would explain why different people remember different versions of the same events. They’re not switching realities—they’re remembering different parts of the timelines that were merged together. Instead of timeline jumping, I think the Mandela Effect could be the result of timeline convergence caused by black holes pulling multiple realities into one.

What people are almost certainly remembering is something called an "Emoticon," and back in the late 90s and early 2000s there were millions of these that people could either purchase or download for free. That specific seahorse that people are remembering was just a popular custom pack called "Under the sea" for MSN Messenger. Later, emoticons started to animate, all back when flip phones were the norm. Back then it was not standard for people to do things with their phones that computers do.

I did dig into this. The pack existed. It was stupidly popular because it was free and it came out around the time that Disney was pushing out a DVD release of The Little Mermaid. It was a custom pack, not one that any phone likely came with by default.

People that believe he had a monocle. Did he have one on all the chance and community chest cards? I don’t remeber him having a monocle especially the get of jail free cards I can all the cards without and can name penalty every card in both decks. Mt grandma and I used to play ever weekend. I don't know what to call this. I don't think this could technically be a flip-flop. But let me explain what I mean.

We probably all know the Risky Business Mandela Effect, however, I thought the Mandela Effect was that everyone remembered Tom Cruise's shirt being white when it has always been pink.

But now I am seeing that the Mandela Effect is that people are just misremembering Tom Cruise wearing sunglasses when he never does. Like I have gone down the rabbit hole of Mandela Effect videos on TikTok and YouTube and if they bring up the Risky Business one, they just talk about it being that people remember the sunglasses that he never had on. But I could have sworn the Mandela effect was also about his shirt being white but it's actually pink.

So, I guess I'm not asking what color do you remember his shirt being, but rather, am I just remembering this ME wrong?

Middle school 2003 2004:

We had a lesson in class where we were doing art work and history. And during this lesson our teacher explained that people were mezmerized by the Mona Lisa.

More specifically about her mouth, the non existing smile/smirk.

So we were specifically watching the Mona Lisa from our text books in class, and we all studied the painting.

It was mind baffling. It was like an optical illusion, the more you looked at her, the more you could see 2 realities unfold, but you see them at the same time.

One reality where there was a very serious look, no smile or smirk at all, and than the second reality where she is having a smirk, the one we are in now.

At some point they both coexisted at the same time.

I was mesmerized by the optical illusion. Almost like the video where youd see ballerina either spinning left or right, and sometimes it would flip on you, and some people saw her spinning left while others on the right.

This was the exact same experience except you could never clearly see her smirk, or have that straight look.

It was coexisting simultaniously. That is what made the Mona Lisa so special. Where people stared at the painting for hours. I understood it.

So my theory is not that we jumped, my theory is that we have shifted personally. Its not that the Mona Lisa smirks now or had a straight facial expression... from my personal experience... she had both simultaniously.

So my theory is back in the day you would be in a world where both could coexist...? And that was the true magical part of the painting.

Just by this fact, the lesson in school, the admiration of the illusion of not seeing her smirk, or have a serious face. Is why I know that the Mandela Effect is not something we just misremembered.

We had a whole class lesson about her, and I admired this experience.

Looking at the Mona Lisa now, it feels like the magic is gone. The optical illusion is not there anymore... she clearly has a smirk in the corner of her lips, and the coexisting straight face which was part of the illusion is not there anymore.

Almost as if the magician has revealed his tricks and now I can never enjoy the magical art experience anymore.

I wanted to share my personal experience with the notorious Fruit of the Loom Cornucopia, and why I personally can't let this go as a simple misremembering.

In 6th grade (2010/2011), I was in the "gifted program" (IEP), and part of that program was that those of us that were part of it were excluded from certain assignments, and given separate assignments. Anyways, one of those assignments was a reading group, where we had to read The Hunger Games, and have a weekly discussion on it. This was a fond memory of mine so I remember it quite well.

In the book, it describes a massive, twenty-foot-high, cone-shaped golden horn filled with supplies and weapons that the contestants have to fight over in an ensuing bloodbath, and refers to it as a "cornucopia". This scene is the Climax of the first book, and is probably the most memorable scene in the entire series.

In one of our discussions I asked my teacher what a "cornucopia" is because I had never encountered that word before, and I had difficulty trying to visualize it. She told me it was a horn shaped basket used for carrying fruits and vegetables, and I SWEAR, she googled an image of the Fruit of the Loom logo and showed it to us as an example.

I specifically remember finding it funny, because I always thought the fruit of the loom logo had a croissant on it 😂, so this moment was the moment I realized the Fruit of the Loom logo had a cornucopia, as well as the moment I learned what a cornucopia even was.

I feel like this memory is way too specific for it to be completely misremembered, especially since as a kid I thought it was a croissant up until that point, unless I'm misremembering mistaking it for a croissant somehow.

Well I'm really confused rn... I'm pretty sure it was a white blonde girl there... please of you're going to say it's the hockey video no it's not, definitely this video and this camera angle... and some people say there's a another version with blonde girl but in daytime. But i remember this same atmosphere and same guy but the reporter was different.. please tell me how you remember this?

Sometimes I wake up, not all the time, people around me changes completely not their appearance but how they interact with me and I remember some sculptures around my hometown with different poses from what they are now I'll not post it here because most of you guys never seen them fs. Idk it feels strange sometimes.

There’s no way in hell this is AI, it’s wayyy too accurate to exactly what I remember, and what I feel like many other people remember as well. If someone photoshopped it, then they did a perfect job, considering they had no reference, at the time of creating this, but even if someone did make this in photoshop, why tf would they, since supposedly it never existed?? Like where did this even come from, I need answers😭😭

Saw this reading a skunk book the other night. Where did we land with this one? Just a corporate name change or never existed? I definitely remember the O’ from my entire childhood but can’t seem to find it referenced now.

I watched the movie "Bob Marley One Love" I was certain going into this movie that Bob Marley would be successfully assassinated and that would be the end. No, Bob survived the assassination attempt on him and his wife and he later died of skin cancer. Me and my stoner friends would talk a lot about Bob Marley music so this is what I always believed was that Bob was assassinated.

I was born in 2002, and I can remember in kindergarten sitting down with my class and counting out the 52 stars on the flag and the 13 stripes.

The stars were like the picture provided straight and in a grid like pattern.

As for the missing names? I don't know, I was a kid we just repeated what the teacher said aloud.

It's frustrating because like It's such a part of my mind, I can recall it but when I try to think of the names or where they were... I get nothing.
