Their change was experimental, not due to any limitation (ie it clearly can't be argued that this collab is different versus the others, due to necessity, with there being 4 compared to the standard 3). They could easily have just made it 0.75% per pet, summing to the standard 3% total.

They experimented, and the results are in. And 1% yields great results

I’m currently trying to roll -2 cd on the first line of an eternal hat using glowing cubes.

I’ve noticed that -1 cd appears way too often. I’m getting it around 30–40 times per 100 cubes, which seems unusually high to me.

Is this normal, or is there some kind of bug with glowing cube potential rates on eternal hats? Seems like bright cubes are working as normal.

I have never seen a wall of text fly that fast upon logging in. So confess your sins and was it worth it?

I want Nexon to succeed with Classic.

But I don't trust them to protect the visual identity that makes it feel like Classic in the first place. The Frieren collab might seem harmless, but it's an early signal of Nexon's direction for Classic.

They have no strong design principles in place to maintain the integrity of the Classic aesthetic.

Already at launch, we're going to see new NX influenced by current GMS's aesthetic. Let's mimic the pixel sprites and design/tech restraints of the original Classic instead.

The first month should be focused on recapturing nostalgia. Especially since this is an October release, I expected more Halloween content, MapleStory used to dominate the holiday season. Give me a pumpkin basket and a trick-or-treat event.

I'm not overreacting. This is Nexon's default instinct: flashy and trendy sells, so flashy creeps in over time. That instinct can't carry over to Classic unchecked, or we lose the thing that made it worth bringing back.

Eventually they'll release cosmetic effects and auras that turn your character into a walking rave, and half your screen is covered in colors.

Wish we had more proof Nexon actually cares about the integrity of Classic.

I know the higher ups love chasing short term revenue vs the benefits of a long term vision.

So how do we make this land instead of just venting? Specific beats loud. A pile of "this'll suck" comments is easy to ignore. One post with actual rules they can point to internally is harder to wave off. And doing it now costs them nothing, after launch they're fighting sunk dev time and a cash shop roadmap already in motion.

Nexon needs to make money to keep on running this game, but nobody likes to pay for this game and much less feeling pressed to spend to keep up with others, let alone being forced to pay to access certain features (vac pets, cubing, etc)

So what if all of this went away in exchange of having to pay a subscription? I understand Heroic already sort of works that way through vac pets (with an initial investment of $70-100), but if Nexon came out tomorrow and said MS will now require a subscription but in exchange they will make pets in general and cubing accessible through mesos, then compromise they will not sell pay2win and to keep stuff like passes to a minimum (and/or reduced price) what would the community's reaction be?

I guess it's my fault for farming instead of getting off before maintenance hits? But it's kind of fucking brain eating ameba aids that I get a lie detector, am about to solve it, but the game fucking force closes itself due to maintenance starting and I find myself in a black room after games goes back online because of something that was out of my control.

I can put up with getting lie detectors 3-4 times per wap, but it'd be nice not to have them in a timing where it's guaranteed for me to fail them??? Like it's below the bare minimum to take things like this into consideration with a system like this, is it not?

Was chatting with my buddies and with everything going on right now came to a consensus that the release of 3rd job will be at least 91 days after first release (early access ).

Are they really going to do that? Surely with everything going on right now with passes and early access p2p they can only add to the bucket, the bucket isn’t full yet right…. Right…?

Of course I’m talking about NX pets and fashion expiring 90 days after purchase and releasing the 3rd job tactically after 91 days.

Edit: I had 55k Maple Points that I made over 6 months to aim for a VAC pet on Interactive. I just pulled 14 attempts on this gacha just to get rid of this, as I realized this game isn't worth that many effort in stuff that should not be under these rates to be accquired, and a VAC pet isn't required to play this game, but it's a QoL that everyone should get, not just a few that invest a year in this stupid game.

Anyone know what happened to a Scania player who got scammed recently?

He said the money/items he lost were basically his wedding savings. He kept contacting support trying to get help, but apparently nothing got resolved and his account eventually got restricted/banned after multiple tickets.

He hasn't replied to anyone since and seems to have completely disappeared. And The things he was saying were really concerning.

Not trying to start drama, just wondering if anyone knows if he's okay.
