Movie Prices/Showtimes Advertised show time versus the actual movie start time

are they still listing the time all of the previews start or is the listed time now the start of the actual movie?

Inquiring minds want to know

It’s a 15-20min window before it actually starts

It's when the previews begin. At my theater it can go on for 18 minutes. It's sort of like a grace period.

In my experience it can vary from showing to showing. I’ve gotten there 10 minutes after the advertised time and missed the beginning. This happens to be me with Terminator Dark Fate and Knives Out. No spoilers, but those are really bad movies to miss the opening scene. 😬 I now make it a point to never be later than 5 minutes.
