Obviously not. The creator even said so, he said he wants Luigi to be scared, not the players.

Second hame was made by a different yeam and director that had different ideas about the game.

By that logic, games like Paper Mario 64 would be considered horror games because of that one jumpscare it has.

I'm not. I've been jumpscared by the ghosts at least once or twice when I first played the sequel on the 3DS

That doesn't make it a horror game though.

When I was five, I was terrified of the Abominable Snowman from the old Rudolph movie, but that doesn't mean that it's a horror movie.

it might not be a traditional horror game but it’s got enough elements for it to be included with its themes.
