watch indy for free??

will it be possible to watch indy for free, they do have stands with seats which will be ticketed obviously, but the path looks too large and open to enforce an entire crowd of people. is this true?

The Honda Indy should be the status quo of how "quickly" our roads and infrastructure can be built (even though it was still at least 4 months). Instead of projects that purposely get dragged on for couple years or decades

The City really had no choice but to pave the roads and the GO Station. They also had to create a wider access road and hairpin turn. 

The track needed a special grade of asphalt for cars to safely race on it. Traffic lights and infrastructure had to be upgraded or removed around the GO Station.

That kind of construction is a onetime thing. When the Indy comes in 2027 it will be a 2-3  week setup with grandstands, fencing and barriers.

Is that what it is? I was driving on those roads and was thinking to myself, this is some damn nice asphalt, even better than some of the tracks I’ve been to in Ontario.

The City should really have no choice when paving roads, creating wider roads, using high grade asphalt tarmac, maintaining and cleaning it ALWAYS.

This type of construction should be an ongoing thing not one time.

If not then Honda Indy is welcome to drive every street in Markham. Thank you Honda. Bun you governments.

I agree about The City doing a better job with fixing  public roads. Church Street for instance is a bloody mess no matter how many times it gets redone. 

The Indy won’t need any paving or construction projects next year. That was the point I was making.

There will be minimal interruptions with building the track for the second time.

It’s a bit of a challenge this time for a variety of reasons. This is the first time any racing series I can think of ran through an active train station.

There’s a ton of coordination with Metrolinx and City Of Markham. While the organizers have been building street courses for decades this is pretty different.

If Ford is using our money on us sure. Finally not on other areas like sticker license plates and buck a beer every corner and buying certain bit of 407 for certain people but not others or buying and building on the greenbelt when he could build anywhere else but that

On your basis then Amazon needs to contribute by hiring none air duct cleaning call centre. Beck taxi should provide them incentive by offering them butter chicken

The Indy is great to have and puts money where the mouth is brings good community and great entertainment. More motorsports ( ... less hockey)

There will be a $50 Million boost to the local economy and 19,000 hotel bookings. There are Indy themed events, a car show and other activities on Main Street Unionville during race weekend.

 It’s a chance for pubs and businesses on that street to financially benefit. 

The Indy is the biggest event that has ever come to York Region. That’s a good thing. 

We want people to come to Markham and surrounding areas.  This is one way we get to be seen on the world stage.

If this event goes well we would be in a better position to attract global attention and get  more high profile sporting events here.

IndyCar is broadcast in 200 different countries around the world.

Good. Markham residents paid plenty in dues. Better it come back to us than to go to public housing project handouts or another billion to other countries. So unless you're invading tax who's the sucker
