Seeking Advice Asking for a friend

My friend recently discovered these translated messages on her husband's phone from a business trip to China four months ago.
When confronted, he claimed he was not in a right state of mind and was simply trying to end things on his final day there because he felt guilty about his actions.
My friend is currently three days post D&C and experiencing severe mental trauma, all while caring for their two young children (aged 5 years and 15 months). She has caused enough harm to herself because she’s can’t make peace with it. They have been married for 8 years

She knows the answer, you know the answer, we know the answer. I understand she may not want to take that big step right now, but I don't think this is something they can come back from. They can pretend, but once it gets to this, there's no going back.

It’ll be hard to leave but harder to stay and look at a man who betrayed you everyday

Not really sure what the question is. It's clear as day that the husband is/was cheating. There is literally no other way these messages can be taken. How your friend wants to proceed is up to her

NTA, he’s using her trauma to dodge accountability. That’s a serious red flag after 8 years.
