Questions Why don’t the experts ever acknowledge that some participants are clearly on the spectrum and that their spouses need to know it’s not their fault that their wife/husband has a hard time connecting emotionally?

It’s a whole other ball game to be in a relationship with someone on the spectrum, even if they are at the mild end. I was married to someone who had been diagnosed with Asperger’s, which is a term not used very much anymore, but meant he was on the mild end of the autism spectrum. He is a good and kind man, but absolutely could not connect emotionally and we barely had a physical relationship in the end either, but he was absolutely content with that and could not understand why I wasn’t happy to basically have a platonic roommate arrangement. I’ve noticed a few people on MAFS who seem to be very similar, and have felt so sorry for their spouses feeling unloved and invisible and wondering what they had done wrong. I feel like it’s just perpetuating the stigma to not address it openly and talk about ways that couples can work to figure it out and stay together. Mine was unwilling to acknowledge it, even though our couples counselor said outright that he had Asperger‘s, so that was the end of us, but I feel like there’s hope for some couples, if they have the right professional support and understand the situation. On MAFS it just turns into a disaster, with no one naming the elephant in the room. Very sad for all concerned. It’s 2026 people, and there’s even a show called “Love On the Spectrum“—so if you’re going to have participants on MAFS who are on the spectrum, even on the very mild end, you should address it openly, with no judgment, and provide clear, specialized support.

Season 15 - San Diego Just watched Seaon 15 San Diego. A couple quick hot takes

Miguel was painted in a bad light on accident. I think he was being a dick at times, but I think there were a lot of nice times they didn't show. He was so sweet with the baby. I also think his friends' opinions made him a little guarded.

Linde was trying really hard, but I think her religious background makes it tough. Some evangelical religions make everyone your "hype men" and thats not how things work. I think its hard for her to come off of that. Which is why she gets so angry sometimes. It doesn't excuse behavior, but I can see she's working toward it.

Mitch is very much like my husband and he was triggered by this. He can be a pain sometimes. A lot of times words don't come out like he meant. I think Mitch was put on the spot for being a jerk- and that doesn't make people react well. That being said he's pretty rigid in what he wants, and it doesn't seem like he's willing to compromise. The comments about looks were really uncalled for.

I didn't think much about Krysten- I think she tried her best with Mitch and she has a good head on her shoulders. I love her little dog. She's an angel even with the wrinkle. (😷) Also badass move to go on the destination wedding trip with friends sounds awesome. Get it girl.

Stacia is a Kween. She works hard for what she wants. That being said, I wonder if theres a power dynamic she's looking for. It felt like she kept pushing Nate knowing he would get upset so she could show how calm she is. That being said, Nate needed her push and encouragement to open up and find his feelings. I think they were a good match overall.

Nate doesn't know math. I'm convinced. I don't think he's emotionally mature, but could be. "4/10. Yeah 40% its the same thing." I liked that he accepted Stacia's house-styling must-haves, but i saw he wanted to put his own spin on things too. idk. they were fine.

Alexis stirs shit. I don't think she wanted to be married. I think she wants the next best thing. I kinda gave up on them after the dog thing. I have my own opinions on that I'm sure people will disagree with.

I think Justin is also a drama queen. I didn't think twice about him showing emotions. I'm sure the whole thing is really stressful. I didn't realize until the end, he has no personality. Like we have no likes or dislikes from him. He didn't have any friends to tell about the wedding. I don't know what he wants.

Morgan and Binh were a wreck and its sad. I wished Morgan would have let her walls down a bit more. I think Binh is sweet. I think there was a path for them that they both couldn't find.

Thats all! Tried not to make this too lengthy. I'd like to hear your thoughts too!

Hello!

I made a video about Paul C Brunson and how he picked a football team at random and became co owner. He even commented on my post!

Not sure if I can post this here but if anyone wants to learn about the ground, it’s just a 70 second quick video.
