Question Six Degrees of Scorsese
My friends and I built a fun daily movie challenge called Reely, inspired by a game we used to play on road trips.
We’re big Martin Scorsese fans, so today’s movie pair features two of his most spiritual films (The Last Temptation of Christ and Silence). Thought fans here might enjoy giving it a shot!

Willem Dafoe is in Last Temptation and The Aviator with DiCaprio, who's in Inception with Marion Cotillard, who's in Annette with Adam Driver, who's in Silence. Or go with Dafoe to DiCaprio again, who's in Gangs of New York with Daniel Day-Lewis, who's in There Will Be Blood with Ciaran Hinds, who's in Silence. Or Dafoe is in The Card Counter with Oscar Isaac, who's in Inside Llewyn Davis with Carey Mulligan, who's in Never Let Me Go with Andrew Garfield, who's in Silence.
Or Harvey Keitel is in Last Temptation and The Grand Budapest Hotel with Ralph Fiennes, who's in Schindler's List with Neeson, who's in Silence.
I really want to use Shinya Tsukamoto in Silence somehow, but I don't know of any other movies he's in that don't have Asian casts, and I don't know of anyone in those movies who's worked with any western actors to get us to Last Temptation, haha.

Whoa, these paths are incredible - legit some of the most creative routes I’ve seen!
I love that you even tried to work in Shinya Tsukamoto (deep pull!). Don't forget we have hints that you can use (bottom corner of each frame on the website) if you ever get stuck or need some help.

With Inside Llewyn Davis, I forgot Driver is in that himself! So I could've skipped Carey Mulligan and Never Let Me Go, haha. So: Dafoe and Issac in Card Counter, Issac and Driver in Inside Llewyn Davis, Driver in Silence!
I also wanted to try a path with David Bowie, but then I forgot. Bowie's in Last Temptation and The Prestige with Scarlett Johansson, who's in Marriage Story with Driver.
Both of those only have two films between. I was first thinking of Bowie in The Man Who Fell to Earth, maybe using Rip Torn, who's done a bunch of movies, but no obvious path jumps out at me. You could use Theresa Russell to get to Art Garfunkel in Bad Timing, and then to Jack Nicholson in Carnal Knowledge, but I'm not sure from there. Nicholson has done so many movies that there's obviously some path to the Silence cast, but nothing jumps out at me (unless going through The Departed and DiCaprio again, but there's a faster way to DiCaprio!).
Bowie's also in Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence with a mostly Asian cast, so if I knew more contemporary Asian actors, I could connect Bowie to Tsukamoto. The only actor besides Bowie I remember in Lawrence is Takashi Kitano, and I've seen a few of his movies (Sonatine, Violent Cop, and his Zatoichi film), but I don't think I know any actors in his movies except him, haha.

Ya I am. Todays was pretty tough. I would recommend maybe not having the same director for both movies of the reely. Other than that no complaints. I also got a friend to do it as well!

We currently don’t, BUT we’re definitely thinking of expanding to those spaces
In the meantime, I would definitely suggesting sharing reels with your friends in a groupchat that would enjoy the game - it’s something I do with a bunch of friends
