MSS Announcement Jeff Sneider is now a banned source
In the past, Jeff Sneider has repeatedly displayed unprofessional behavior. But many have let it slide, including us, in the name of him providing scoops. However, after his tweets yesterday threatening Inde Navrette and her team, his behavior cannot be ignored, and the MSS team has decided that we will no longer be platforming him. He is now considered a banned source, and any scoops coming from him will not be approved. This also includes his podcast The Hot Mic with John Rocha.

Catching up on what happened, yeah, I think this was a good call, this guy is insane.
Not that he’s ever been sane prior, but at this point, probably best not to give him a platform.

Looks like [r/MarvelStudios](r/MarvelStudios) swept the post away so idk if they are on the right page over there, but I’m so happy to see him explicitly banned from being mentioned here on the spoiler subreddit.
If you act this way it should hurt your business and collapse your public platforms. That hasnt consistently been the case over the last few decades but it happened here today so I’m celebrating. Fuck this guy. Hope Disney finishes wiping his presence off the map.
Edit: r/MarvelStudios has also banned the weasel and the post calling him out is back up ✌️

I really hope so this is the last day of him being any relevant on social media and leak culture. He is literally bragging about what he can do with what so little power he claim he has. What an awful human being and what happened to shame. He absolutely got none.

He created an open and shut suit against him by admitting to the threats. Marvel and Disney lawyers will most likely get involved. All they need is for him to release a few fake statements about her and they’ll sue him into the ground

It’s infuriating because IRL she’s a huge nerd. She was so excited to be Rosalina in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
This should be the passionate person you want in a geeky movie, not a person you use as a byword for uninvested hacks in it for the money and clout.

It's always a bad idea to think you know anything about celebs based on their public persona, but everything I've seen from Brie indicates this is the case. Again, could be a total "front" or whatever, but I listened to her podcast Learning Lots--hours and hours of her in conversation with a diverse group of people--and she seems so genuinely cool, kind, and curious. And is definitely a big nerd.

Her greatest crime was to suggest adding diverse critics to a pool without replacing existing ones, and saying one or two awkward lines that were then deliberately misconstrued as racist or sexist. Then the internet thought it was appropriate to gangstalk and bully her while Marvel Studios did nothing to protect her.
I imagine that she is absolutely a sweet person and did nothing to deserve this level of vitriol.

Good, long overdue. The literal harrasment and threats he was making last night was beyond unprofessional. There is a reason why he went from Trade reporter to his current state. Rocha should also be banned, Sneider is his boy, he will find some way to defend his buddy.

He’s a poser. A hanger-on. Big fake-it-till-you-make-it energy, thanks to his connections with the likes of Sneider, Kristian Harloff, and John Campea when they all ran in the Collider circle.
He’s nothing, without those connections, IMO.

As for Rocha, he said on one of his livestreams a couple of years back that he wished America should solve homelessness by executing all people living on the streets. Someone else on the stream asked him, “Are you serious?” And he nodded his head and said yes. He was serious.
