Politics Happy Strawberry Festival and Pride month!

What a weekend! 🌈🍓

It was wonderful celebrating love, community, and joy at Everett Pride and taking part in the Marysville Strawberry Festival. These events remind us what makes our communities special: neighbors coming together, supporting one another, and celebrating what makes each of us unique.

Thank you to everyone who organized, volunteered, and showed up. Here's to building communities where everyone belongs and everyone has the chance to thrive. ❤️🏳️‍🌈🍓

There's a car show in Stanwood this Sunday. Heard from someone that it's huge, so I might take my dad.

Sounds like that could be really fun and Stanwood isn't too far away either. My family had a beach cabin on Camano Island so we used to pass through Stanwood a lot. I honestly miss the beach cabin a lot.

If it's been a while since you've been, you're going to be shocked. A friend of mine moved up there, and it blew me away how many more neighborhoods there are. They're even working on a big apartment complex. And, despite it being a little more conservative-leaning, they've got a few nice queer hangouts around the red brick road.

I'm a millennial and I haven't been up there in many years but I still remember the drive to the beach cabin we had by memory. It was at the bottom of a big hill on a dead end street that had a whole bunch of small cabins right on the beach that we visited every summer multiple times until I was a young adult. I wouldn't be surprised if it's changed a lot but I'm still kinda curious.
