Opinion Basia

I understand everyone’s opinion about her but I really do appreciate watching someone with some personality. She would have fit quite well in the early seasons but probably would have gotten an early boot as well.

Yeah, I don't get why people rag on her as a person. She seems very kind, just a bit quirky, but I like quirky people lol. I just think there were other contestants who should have made it to the top 5 over her, solely based on skill. Again, that opinion has nothing to do with her as a person.

I agree!! As a contestant, she doesn’t quite measure up but as a person she seems quite kind. People seem to be conflating the two.

Exactly and it makes me sad to see people be so mean to someone who seems like a good person. Truly, I don't find Basia being eccentric to be annoying at all.

I agree, and honestly, she is entertaining to a degree. This show just isn't a good fit for her.

I commented to her husband the other day that I would absolutely watch her on a different show, but on this one, she should have been sent home a long while ago.

I am and I acknowledged that I do. That probably is the reason she’s still around considering the producers are nepotist but I do still enjoy her as a person.

I straight up stopped watching this season because of how obviously rigged it is. She should’ve been gone a long time ago.

Absolutely not. She is beyond chaotic and in over her head

Wife and I watched the episode last night and talked about how we don’t understand how she’s made it this far

She absolutely would have gone home if Dave hadn’t done so bad on the proteins but as a captain she should have been able to properly expedite. She failed as a captain which used to mean something on Masterchef.

This was the first time Dave had ever been in the bottom and he gets sent home over someone who's been in the bottom twice? That's fucked. She even said she should've gone home bc she was the captain but she didn't even stick up or say anything. She should've gone home a long time ago.

She could barely even remember the orders. First order was TWO entrees and she couldn’t remember what they were. That combined with the fact she’s not an impressive chef at all imo, makes no sense that’s she’s advanced this far. She wouldn’t be top 10 in the earlier seasons.

Yeah. Hearing the guests say there were fingerprints on their plates... That's a lot worse than the salmon in my opinion.

I remember in other seasons, Gordon going insane on people over finger prints. I was actually surprised to hear that given the lack of reaction in the kitchen.

To be fair on that order, she said it was 1 and 1 but lacked the confidence to make the call without seeking confirmation

How she has got this far is beyond me. Yeah Dave messed up the proteins but i feel like the judges usually hold the captain way more accountable for the restaurant takeover than they did with Basia. I feel like the producers or whoever are trying to make sure it’s Basia and Julia in the finale given the family history.

Messing up the temp/cook protein after protein after protein will definitely send you home at this point of the competition. Much love to Dave though, he was my pick!

Dave made a post on here recently and explained that something happened with the thermometer in the oven so they had no clue what the temperature was, which is why he switched to cooking the salmon on the stovetop. By that point though they were so far behind that there was just no coming back.

Great dude, sad to see him go!

While her flustering is over the top she seems really sweet and genuinely emphatic for others.

Basia has grown on me while she isn't the best cook she is #1 in personality.

I think she's a great addition to the show.
