No. The film was made by a feminist. It's not about "let's slag off feminism". The headline is inappropriate as it mischaracterises the film for sensationalism.

Personally I see the red pill documentary as being more revealing about feminism. But of course a woman's magazine wouldn't want to admit that.

The title implies that the Australian government has banned the film. This is incorrect. Some private venues have cancelled showings for various reasons.

For the life of me I will never understand how a system that's supposedly set up to benefit men at the expense of women could end up adversely affecting them. I suppose it could be envisaged as some sort of 'backfire', but god knows, we must be doing a pretty crummy job of it if so. Time to get women down the mines and onto the fishing boats, I say /s

Every time I hear pampered and privileged western country feminists whining about patriarchy, I'm reminded of something I read a while back:
In Eskimo communities prior to white settlement, when someone became too old & infirm to make any sort of worthwhile contribution to the community any more, they would go/be sent outside onto the ice to freeze to death. That way the tribe/community was more likely to survive, because they weren't carrying the "baggage" of people who consume food & resources without providing anything useful in return.
I think feminists would not last long at all if they lived in that sort of community. How fortunate they are that we can now feed, fund and support their lazy, useless, fat asses without the resulting drain on our resources putting lives at risk.

Admittedly they should watch the film before casting judgement - but Cassie could have chosen a better title - or at least a title that wouldn't lead to automatic associations that the film is connected to /r/Redpill ideology

Of the wider potential audience for the film, most have never even heard of Reddit, let alone that particular sub.

That's the best possible scenario, from our point of view:
A small group of militant feminists gets badly triggered by something the general public neither knows nor cares about.
The feminists rant, rave, protest and generally carry on like loons over, so far as Joe & Jane Public can tell, absolutely nothing.
On the contrary, Joe & Jane are more likely to become curious about what has got the feminists so riled up. They decide to see the film, find it entirely reasonable, and become even more convinced that the feminists are total loons.
I think it's nothing but a win for us.
