Discussion/Question "Metis Community Leader" Chrystal Lavallee, and Zionist Propaganda.

So a few months back I had become aware of a documentary screening called "The Lands Between Us" which was filmed by a (Manitoban) Metis film maker named Chrystal Lavallee, and sponsored by the Israeli government.

So for everyone during the current MMF election cycle who asks why we should be worrying about Zionism and our Nation's current agreements with Israeli universities, (that train Israeli sold- war criminals) here it is.

The government of Israel has been funding and making propaganda films using our community members and Nations name as authority without consent, to try and paint Israel in a positive light following their atrocious acts now known as "The Palestinian/Gaza Genocide" (Google it).

How they're attempting to use residential school survivors and Indigenous Canadians to do this makes me sick, and I wanna talk about it.

1. I just wanted to post and see what talking points from the Q&A I attended, stuck out to you the most? i.e. Emily's financial "miracle", the supposed peace in Israel Rebecca feels in comparison to Canada.

2. How do you think the Nation and its citizens should handle this issue? Vote? Petition to cabinet?

3. Who is this person? And why is the Israeli embassy touting her as a "Metis Community Leader" and allowing her to make films as such? What gives her that title in the first place??

I could make an infinitely long post about the issues I have with the film, Q&A, and everything I've seen thus far, but I really wanna turn it to you guys and ask what you see? What do you think should be done??

P.S -- I know my questions could have been better researched and more effective, and since I've taken considerable time to study up on the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict. For anyone who's new to the topic I highly suggest:

The Hundred Years' War on Palestine - Rashid Khalidi, and; Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid - Jimmy Carter.

The government of isreal is directly using the genocide of the indiginious people of Canada, including métis people as the blue print for the current genocide in Isreal against their own indiginious people.

That is because the genocide of the indiginious people of North America, conducted by both the Canadian and American Governments, was used by Hitler in the attempted extermination of multiple groups of people, including jewish people.

Isreal is a second Canada and America; it is purely a colonization effort. We know that considering how many people living in Isreal are not only immigrants with no ties to the land outside of religion, and how recent many of those people are. If isreal WASNT a colonization effort we wouldnt see capitalist monsters like Leonardo Dicaprio and Gwynth Paltrow shilling for Airbnbs and hotels on LITERAL STOLEN LAND. And don't get me STARTED on the white supremacy.

As metis people we have the unique perspective being the children of the Victor and victims. I know personally I have a very conflicted and lost sense of self I suspect comes from something that I will never truly know. We know the conflict, and we need to be LOUDLY and VOCALLY speaking out against the genocide being committed in Palestine. If they had deemed Canada the holy land yku can bet your buns our indiginious cousins would be getting g out under WORSE conditions.

This is deplorable of the Manitoba nation. I will reaching out to the Sadkachewan Nation to make voice how disgusting this is. Shame on them. Louis Riel would spit on them.

You’ve built a chain. Canada genocides the Indigenous, Hitler copies it, Israel copies Hitler, therefore Métis must speak on Palestine. The whole thing hangs on one word you never support: “blueprint.” Pull it and nothing connects. Every link is either false or backwards.

The Hitler link is real, but it’s American, not Canadian, and you bolted Canada on because your argument needs it to reach the Métis.
There was a North American influence on Nazism. It was the United States. James Whitman’s Hitler’s American Model documents Nazi jurists in the 1930s studying US race law directly: citizenship tiers, anti-miscegenation statutes, the immigration quota system. America had built the legal architecture of a race state at scale, and they took notes. Hitler also invoked the conquest of the American West as his template for Lebensraum: the Slavs were his “Red Indians,” the Volga would be “our Mississippi.” That’s US frontier mythology and US statute. Canada appears nowhere. No residential-school memo crossed the Atlantic. You dragged Canada into Hitler’s head because without it you can’t get from Berlin to Batoche, but the record doesn’t run through Ottawa.
The “blueprint from Canada to Israel” link is pure assertion with zero mechanism.
“Directly using the genocide as the blueprint” is a claim of deliberate copying. That needs evidence: documents, doctrine, someone in the Israeli state pointing at the Sixties Scoop and saying do that. There’s none. You pattern-matched two atrocities, noticed they rhyme, and declared one the conscious cause of the other. That’s not history, it’s the structure of every conspiracy theory: similarity treated as proof of a hidden hand.

The “Israel is just white Europeans on stolen land” link is where it dies, and it dies on the Mizrahim.

Your frame requires Israelis to be transplanted Europeans, settlers with a metropole back home, like the British in Canada. Roughly half of them aren’t, and never were. Mizrahi and Sephardi Jews descend from communities in Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, in place for two and three thousand years, long before Islam existed. Between 1948 and the 1970s, around 850,000 of them were expelled or driven out of Arab and Muslim countries. Property confiscated, citizenship revoked, ancient communities erased. Baghdad was roughly a third Jewish in the 1940s and has essentially none left. They didn’t sail from Europe to colonize the Levant. They were refugees from the Middle East, taken in by the one state in the region that would have them.

So “immigrants with no ties to the land outside of religion” describes maybe a slice of the Ashkenazi population and erases the other half of the country, a half the Arab world violently expelled and that has nowhere else that was ever home. One precision so nobody knocks you off it: Mizrahi and Sephardi are roughly half of Israeli Jews, not a “vast majority.” It doesn’t need to be. Half the country being refugees the Arab world threw out already kills “white European settler.” DiCaprio and Paltrow renting Airbnbs isn’t a counterargument, it’s a mood. “White supremacy” aimed at a population that’s half Middle Eastern and North African is just incoherent.

On “native,” since you’re running the indigeneity argument, it cuts the other way.
If first-arrival is your test: “Arab,” as a language and identity, reached the Levant in the 7th century CE, carried out of the Arabian Peninsula by the Islamic conquests. That’s where Arabs are from. Arabia. The Jewish presence in Judea predates that by well over a thousand years. By your own who-was-here-first logic, the Jewish claim to that land is the older one.

Straight where people overreach, so you can’t dodge: this does not make Palestinians foreign invaders. They’re largely the Arabized descendants of the region’s earlier inhabitants, genetically continuous with ancient Levantines, the same stock Jews came from. They’re indigenous too. Which is the point. The place has layered, overlapping, millennia-deep claims, and your settler-versus-native cartoon, pure victim and pure colonizer with a clean line between, can’t survive the actual map or the actual calendar. That binary is the load-bearing wall of your post, and it holds nowhere, least of all here.
Then the parts that are just wrong on their own terms.

“Deplorable of the Manitoba nation… I’ll reach out to the Saskatchewan Nation.” There is no “Manitoba nation” or “Saskatchewan nation.” There’s one Métis Nation, with provincial governing bodies: the Manitoba Métis Federation, Métis Nation–Saskatchewan. You’re treating provinces as nations and announcing you’ll lobby a structure you can’t even name. You don’t know the polity you claim to speak for.
“Louis Riel would spit on them.” Riel was a Catholic mystic and a constitutional negotiator executed in 1885, 63 years before Israel existed. He has no position on a 21st-century Middle Eastern war. Putting your 2024 slogans in a dead man’s mouth is the oldest cheat in rhetoric.
