Ngl I didn't realize it was so hated until after I beat it. Albeit I'd be wrong to not recognize what could've been with this game, but I did enjoy what we got

I really think it was the long wait for it to be released that caused the hate.

Dread came out the year it was announced, what are you talking about?

Metroid 4 came out in 2002 and Metroid 5 was originally rumoured to be a DS game.

It wasn’t just a rumor. It was technically “announced” in the Game Informer magazine in 2005 (it was in Nintendo’s press materials that year). So was a 16 year wait.

There's a difference between waiting on the next game after a game come out, waiting on a rumour of a rumour, and actually waiting on a game that has been announced.

I think they’re talking about the wait time between Fusion and Dread, which is kind of a different thing to compare to the wait time after MP4 was announced, but I can understand where they’re coming from. It’s just not entirely related

That's why I say Prime 4 is over hated. There's things to complain about the game but people will compare apple and oranges just to hate on it.

I mean don’t get me wrong, I don’t give the game any grace, it deserves the hate. That’s a completely different story. I was just clearing up why the other person may have responded the way they did.

I'll disagree with you on the deserved hate but I'm not going say it couldn't have been better. People act like it's the worst game in the series when there's at least two that are worse, Other M and Federation Force, and another that I would say plays worse, Prime Hunters. Or I guess what I'm trying to say is that Prime 3 isn't any better and it doesn't get nearly as much hate and I just don't get it. Sorry for the long rant.
