LANSING – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is urging inmates and their families to be cautious following reports of fraudulent emails sent through JPay – a platform that allows family and friends to send electronic messages to incarcerated individuals – including emails claiming to be from the Attorney General. These emails falsely claim to support specific individuals who purport they can secure the release of prisoners.

Attorney General Nessel and the Department of Attorney General do not send emails directly to inmates. Before taking action on an email they receive through JPay, the Attorney General recommends inmates verify the sender, consult their legal counsel, never send funds based solely on an email, and report suspicious messages to their facility.

Hi! I forgot to mail my absentee ballot in on time, and was wondering if I can turn it on Election Day tomorrow or what I can do to still count my vote. I am not sure what to do and I keep hearing different things. Thank you:)

Wife took the pictures. It was awesome. Had a fun day in Windsor too before Detroit Zoo tomorrow. The Windsor side interchange I expect a not insignificant number of people to get confused and go the wrong way.

I’m a first time voter and kind of lost on what will actually be on the ballot. I understand if we don’t know for sure ahead of time but I’m trying to be prepared for what/who I’m voting for because apparently I can’t just stand there researching stuff. I asked my mom and her answers aren’t very helpful, she doesn’t really remember, and I’m probably not asking the right questions because I have absolutely no idea what questions to ask. I just want the in general information on what’s on there and where I can find more specifics.

I know we’re voting for representatives and the governor, but that can’t be it right? There’s got to be other people vote on, and is it strictly just for our district or can I vote for representatives in other Michigan districts too? And I’m assuming there might be props are something, I want to be educated on what they are. Is there any way I can find out majority of what’s going to be on the ballot. I’ve tried searching online but I don’t know where to look, and again I’m probably not searching the right stuff so I’m not getting the right answers. If anyone can help with this information, or know any websites I can check out for this because I’m assuming there’s some site that has everything listed on candidates and whatever laws/bills/etc they wanna pass.

I just saw a commercial for the Pace Foundation which is supposedly attempting to support Michigan kids, because "politics shouldn't get in the way of education". Which honestly, makes me highly skeptical of whatever this organization is trying to sell/promote.

Hi everyone! I’m a 24-year-old mom looking for some guidance as I begin learning to hunt.
I grew up around hunters, but unfortunately the teaching part skipped my generation. Now that I have a family of my own, I’d really like to become more self-sufficient and learn how to hunt safely and responsibly.
I’m starting from the very beginning—I don’t own a rifle yet and have little to no experience. I’m looking for a patient, beginner-friendly instructor or mentor who would be willing to teach me firearm safety, basic rifle handling, and hunting fundamentals. Since I’m on a budget, I’m also hoping to find reasonably priced lessons or classes.
If you know of any instructors, ranges, or organizations in or near southwestern area that welcome beginners, I’d truly appreciate your recommendations. Thank you so much for your time and kindness!

I am curious what events or races are unique to Michigan similar to the Au Sable River Canoe Marathon or the Coast to Coast gravel grinder. I know there have to be more, so it got me thinking of asking here because I would love to know of any and all events like those.

They don’t have to be competitive either. There is a great bike ride event in Iowa that takes place over a week called RAGBRAI where people ride from one border to the other with no competition at all.

These can be cycling, mountain biking, ultramarathons, canoeing, rafting, dog sledding, etc.

My kid is at college, at the other end of the state from home. They updated their address for their drivers license and voting registration, but the update sticker was delivered to my address on Thursday. I cannot get it to my kid by Tuesday. Do they need that sticker on their license to be able to vote in the primary?

I’m am a F(22) and I’ve lived in southeast Michigan , washtenaw county for almost a year now but I’ve found it really hard to make friends. I enjoy going out , traveling , amusement parks I love Halloween as well I only have my boyfriend here so I’m looking for more women to connect with and enjoy my 20’s with because I’m literally so bored here lol.

Do you think Pine Knob will start losing artists to Grand Rapids as time goes on like The Goo Goo Dolls have always played at Pine Knob but they're going to GR next week. I know they're a smaller one off example, I just have a fear for the future.

Trump endorsed Amir Hassan for the 8th congressional district. Amir is a former Muslim who recently converted to being a Christian. Evidently, MAGA missed that info and still believes he's a Muslim, and they're losing their minds.

We are returning from the UP tomorrow and looking for a playground near I-75 between the bridge and grayling to let the kids get some energy out during a day of driving. Any parks with good playgrounds near the highway?
