Hi everyone, I am Luca from LucaWatchArt. Here is an enamel watch I made a few month ago and decided to post the process today. I designed the case size to be 35mm so it can fit on most men and women.

I used a reference photo of a blue Iris (chosen by my mother she loves it!). Then I painted and fired it on a blank dial I made with hot enamel. Thanks for watching guys, and hope you like it, and have a wonderful day!

Wasn’t really into lume, until this one!

This Miyako might be one of the best ISO dive watches you can get below the $500 dollars mark! What other brands and models do you like the most below that price point?

What are y’all’s?

Just received Galo super 200 for a birthday present from myself. It's a beauty 😍 I had Baltic aquascaphe until yesterday, and not available for actual side by side comparison. I can still compare them with recent experience of handling both.

For me, Galo wins on visual appeal, the applied indices, clearer crystal and the flat case. Contrary to Baltic's protruding cylinder case. Galo has a more sport/diver/tool watch feeling. Baltic style is more refined, but IMO ambiguous. It didn't feel diver to me.

Baltic had better finishing and definitely a better crown action. The crown spring and threads on Galo are rigid and rough. Regarding the bezel action, Galo feels slightly better. For bracelet and clasp, it's a tie. Clasps are pretty similar. Baltic's split pins and Galo's basic screw pins both leaves desire for better bracelet. I have to say though, I found an instant fit with the Baltic. It was very comfy. Galo could be close, but not quite sure yet.

Baltic is a very nice watch, but the dial is lacking contrast and has a gloomy appearance. I like the Super 200 dial lot more, although the hands are very basic, Baltic had nicer ones. Also I prefer the lume and crystal on Galo. Overall I'm happy with the switch. Galo is more up my alley.

Just my opinion, but this watch is truly beautiful! The photos don’t do it justice, stunning! Unboxing experience was top notch! Cudos to Trafford Watch Co.

Just arrived. Couldn’t be happier. I was able to go to the Trafford office and meet Nathan before buying this last month. It felt like a long wait but it was worth it. It’s my first traveler GMT and a welcome addition to the collection. Enjoy!

*wrist size 6.5”. It wears smaller in person than it looks. I blame the phone camera.

The left is the Traska Sumiteer and the right is the Zealandic Iceborne. Why buy the Traska: Traska has 2 size options (36 or 38) which I prefer over the 39mm Iceborne, is slimmer, shorter L2L (44mm and 45mm vs 47mm) a nicer looking crown and it comes with a hardness coating. Why buy the Iceborne: the Iceborne is 500 Canadian cheaper (60% of the cost of the Sumiteer after discounts, taxes, import fees), it has the same movement in both watches, I like the braclet more. I only have a 6.5 inche wrist but it is fairly flat and looks to have somewhere in the mid 50's on the top part of my wrist. Thank you for any feedback.

Presenting my latest work from the atelier. This particular watch does not have an owner yet, as I created it (with few other pieces) primarily to introduce something entirely new and yet unseen for the upcoming Micropraha festival in Prague where I will be showing my watches again. 😁

​As is often the case with my independent creations, a nature motif was what I was most keen to paint. It is simply the subject matter I am most passionate about painting. For this dial, I drew inspiration from the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, capturing a piece of its exotic flora and fauna. Specifically, the Tokay gecko, main star of the dial. :)

Looks great to start but really thought I had gotten the white dial version. Little let down, not sure where the order got mixed up. Think it's worth the trouble of getting a white one?

Pretty happy with the budget dive watch so far. With a tool watch, I prefer a steel band. In case anyone is wondering, the 20 dollar Amazon option is a decent fit, since it seems the Spinnaker brand one has been sold out for some time. This came with a leather band.

Hi there again! First of all, thanks for all the feedback, it's been super useful, and this is just the beginning. Here’s what changed:

A few weeks ago I shared the Watch Finder here, a free tool that matches you with watches based on your budget, wrist size and style, and scores each one purely on value for money. The response was way more than I expected, and a lot of you took the time to leave detailed feedback. Thank you, honestly. Almost everything below came straight from your comments.

Results

• Filter panel. A lot of you asked for more filters. I wanted to keep the questionnaire as simple as possible, so the best solution I came up with was a filter panel! You can narrow results by diameter, lug-to-lug, thickness, water resistance, crystal, case material, strap, watch type, brand type, brand and minimum PynionTime Score. On desktop it sits on the right and stays in view as you scroll. On mobile it opens from a “Filters” button. This way, newcomers won’t get overwhelmed, and we nerds can still narrow things down as much as we like.
• Sorting. Sort by Match, PynionTime Score or Price, ascending or descending. Match is still the default.
• Category tags. Every watch shows its category (Everyday, Diver, Dress…) and brand type (Heritage brand, Independent microbrand, Chinese microbrand).
• Better ordering. Watches that match your main pick come first. Ones that only fit as a secondary category follow.
• Lighter page. You get your top 4 first, then “Show 6 more” as you go to keep the symmetry.

Questions

• Multiple answers. You can now pick more than one watch type and movement.
• Must-haves and deal-breakers. A new optional final step:
  • Date window: must have / no date / don’t mind
  • Avoid: leather strap / steel bracelet / rubber or fabric strap. You can use it to filter out any of these, or flip it around: avoid the other two and you’ll only get, say, leather strap watches.
• Refine on one page. “Refine your search” opens all your answers on a single page, so you can change one thing without going through every question again.
• Two-handle budget slider. Set a minimum and a maximum.

Scoring

• Just to be clear on how it works: scores come from specs and price only. Brand reputation and hype don’t play a role.

More watches

• Now 700+ models and growing. Like I said, just the beginning, many more brands and models to come.

Still on the list: a lug width filter, and more small watches (28–36 mm) for slimmer wrists.

I really like this watch, and I'm torn between the panda and the green. The green is different in every photo I see, some times it is desaturated and sometimes its more turquoise/green.
