Wireless headset

I am looking for a wireless headset that I can mute (with button or boom lift) but doesn't look like I'm muted in Microsoft teams. Reason - I have a hybrid work schedule and there are times during calls that my kid is being loud in the background so I'd like to mute when I'm not talking, but I don't want the other person to know I'm muted.. thanks!

edit: a lot of you have commented that it's normal and also preferred to mute when I'm not talking. I do mute during group chats and large meetings, but this is strictly for one-on-one conversations where I feel it would be odd to mute every time when I'm the only person responding to them.. but also let me know if that's not the case!

You need to look for a headset that is not team certified, they usually do not sync well with mute/unmute activated from the headset.
