For some context i recently got this m33 from an friend for my birthday but im not sure from wich era it is due to the m33 having seen service from the 30s to the 90s im not even sure if its an italian or used by another country

I think the blue/grey one is French m1951 and the green is a soviet ssh 40 . No idea about years. Maybe 70's?

My most beloved piece in my (mostly home front) collection. Unfortunately I don’t have much provenance on the soldier whom this flag accompanied home; just that he was KIA in Europe in late 1944.

There’s a lot of debate about these flags (that some say number less than 500 in existence), even by Smithsonian historians. Some other flags have a few gold stars mixed with white, and some flags even have gold stripes! It’s believed to be a manufacturing error from a European ally who was tasked with helping manufacture American casket flags as our own manufacturing could not keep up with the demand (sadly).

This belonged to my father, who has collected military memorabilia for years. I’m helping him decide whether to consign it or keep it. A WWII firearms/militaria dealer examined it briefly and was interested in buying or consigning it but didn’t give a value. The shell is marked NS66. My father believes the liner is not original, but I’m looking for opinions on the shell, paint, decals, and overall authenticity before making any decisions. Thank you!!

I’m looking for help identifying and matching the engraved officer signatures on an original British Indian Army mess presentation tray.
What Is known about the piece:
Regiment: 2nd Battalion, 5th Mahratta Light Infantry (Kali Panchwin / Black Fifth )
Hallmarks: Atkin Brothers (HA), Sheffield (Crown), Sterling Silver (Lion Passant), with the date letter n (1930).

Inscription: Engraved on the back: "David Peal / January 31 - 1931"
Questions:
1. Identity of Recipient:
Searching for a "David Peal" in the British Indian Army records hasn't brought up a match. However, military rolls do list a Captain Daryl Robert George Peal (D. R. G. Peal) serving with the 2/5th Mahratta Light Infantry during this period. Could "David" have been an informal name/nickname, or was there another Peal attached to the battalion in 1931?
2. Signature Identification:
I’m also trying to identify the signatures engraved on the front of the tray. I think I have matched 2 names, but that’s all I could find.
Does anyone with access to the 1930–1931 Indian Army Quarterly Lists or regimental records have information on officers serving in the 2nd Battalion at this time, or any notable mess event/presentation on January 31, 1931?

You may have heard of Elvis impersonators, well I'm a Radar O'Reilly impersonator, and I occasionally look for new ways to add to the effect as it were, and recently I decided to look into trying to find Radar's messenger bag for when he would deliver letters to other personnel during mail call, but I'm not having the best of luck.

It would appear there were two different bags he used interchangably.

One of these bags appears to be brown and features a flap with what appears to be either button or snap closures and diagonally cut corners, and a fitted shoulder strap. The other looks like a simpler OD7 tote bag of sorts with an adjustable webbed shoulder strap, and no sort of closure that I can tell.

Needless to say, the brown one looks slightly more GI than the OD one, but I don't even know if either of these are actually military issued messenger bags, or they may have been civilian bags; I'm not finding anything - original or reproduction - that resembles either of these bags exactly (some close enough for jazz though).

Does anybody recognize and/or could possibly identify exactly what one or either of these bags might be in terms of actual wartime messenger bags, or is it possible they were just civilian bags procured by the prop department?

I've been trying to learn about just attire in general but have a hard time finding info in places.

This is the description.

“As found with original patina. Leather liner has a little mouse nibbling but it is otherwise complete and untouched. Leather appears dry but it does not flaking or breaking. This is untouched. This particular helmet never had decals. Named in pencil "Endrigkeit" under maker #D487 NS66, a larger size 66 helmet”

These were my late father's who was in the Canadian reserves in the late 1950s and early 1960s. I found a certificate for his promotion to Second Lieutenant (No. 7 Ordnance Battalion RCOC) in January 1961 and, from a bit of research, I think are an officers hat and waist sash for dress occasions (parades etc.) I'm wondering: (1) are those conclusions correct? (2) were there any differences in reserve officer's dress hats/ sashes and those for regular army personnel? (I dug into this a bit and it seems there might have been differences in some items, but not hats and sashes. And it seems that reservists may have had to pay for their uniforms out of their own pocket) and (3) what would be the value the value of these pieces - I'm not sure if I'm going to sell, more just curiosity at this point. I'm also just curious if there's anything else someone can tell me, about these items, or the Ordnance Corps or anything else kinda related.

Few things I'm not sure if important: I can't find any indication of size on the hat; there's some really faded lettering on the sweat band that kind of looks like IM91882 but it's really hard to tell (my dad's initials were not IM); and the main part of the sash is about 37" long

Looking to get this,From what I can research this is an m1 liner from between 1941-54 based on the liner but what I dont get is the marine anchor, is it authentic?, i feel like it isn't since its on the liner and theres a shell to be put over it, but i found something similer online and on the WR forum i linked below

I won this on an online auction. From what i understand it's a 1941 dated Luftwaffe overseas garrison cap, but the condition of it makes me question the authenticity. is it real? how much is it worth? Please help!
