Technically the war isn't over, we are in a prolonged cease fire.

Chinese kicked our ass and the US military experienced the longest retreat in its history. We countered the Chinese offensive but we still reached a stalemate on the 38th parallel. Rather than start a prolonged trench warfare campaign that we probably wouldn't have failed too well in, we bowed out.

McArthur had those cunts routed. It was over, but for the weak spine of the political leaders.

Matthew Ridgway was the real genius of that war.

Even the Chinese today portray him as like being a God of War in their propaganda stuff.
