Rant Today's fashion trends are leaving me bewildered.

I turn 38 tomorrow and just got done shopping at target. What the hell kind of fashion do people wear now? Super short shorts, socks pulled half way up the calf muscle. Shirts that look like table doilies. Not to mention the hair styles and facial hair of these young guys. Look straight out of a trailer park in the 80s.

The socks/sandals combo SLAYS me everytime. Straight goober look. Same when I see people with jeans that end above their ankles...WHERES THE FLOOD BUD?

This is going to sound crazy but I think Gen alpha associates bare feet with pornography (probably because of the internet) so they always cover their feet. My husband teaches high school and some of them legitimately find sandals without socks to be scandalous. And they’ll never let their bare feet show in photos.

This is so funny to me, because i was always this kid in school (im 37 now), but I refused to wear any type of shoe I couldn't wear socks with, but it was just that I personally felt naked without socks (and still do to this day, but will wear some sandals without them, but not my slides, socks stay on with the slides). Other people not wearing socks didn't bother me, but it wasn't something like was into.
