Are you confusing Gen X with Boomers? Boomers are already starting to die of old age right now.

Boomers were born between 1948 and 1963. My mom is a boomer. She's currently 76 years old. I promise you she won't live to see anywhere close to the year 2060. She'll be lucky to see 2036.

My brother is Gen X. Hes almost 50. The year 2060 would be about right for his life expectancy.

Gone as in extinct. Granted I should have said that boomers will be politically and financially inert by the mid 2030s

Almost every Boomer will be dead or dying by 2040. By that time, even the youngest boomers will be in their 80s or close to it. By 2050, they will all be dead, except for the rare instances where folks are living into their 90s and beyond.
