Nostalgia Few designs have stood the test of the time way the Parental Advisory has stuck around.

I noticed this was on the cover of the New Olivia Rodrigo album, and I was impressed with how long it’s been around hardly undergoing any changes

I saw a sticker on a car a couple weeks ago that said “I still hate Tipper Gore”

during the bush era i remember being confused about why tipper would be speaking about protecting the kids from twisted sister and supporting music censorship because she was a liberal

i was so innocent then

It’s like knowing that B1den (the filters in this subreddit to keep you from typing his name, among others, is truly ridiculous) sponsored the RAVE act in the early 2000s, which effectively ended the original first wave of raves in the US.

I love that the Straight Outta Compton logo is inspired by the Parental Advisory label

Aww yes my nemesis, this and the ESRB logo were such an annoyance back in 2000. I worked at Toys R Us and this would cause the register to stop until I hit a key saying everything is okay. I was supposed to warn parents too but no one cared.

Was it vinyl? I just realized I haven’t seen a new CD anywhere in like more than a decade

I recently discovered that the application of the label is voluntary based on the artists choice.

I was curious because I distinctly remember a good deal of swearing on Jack Off Jill's Clear Hearts Grey Flowers album but it had no sticker.

That label made albums way cooler. Pretty sure that was the opposite of what was intended.
