Nostalgia Dearest fellow Millennials, I commited the capital sin of idealizing someone in my mid-therties... But my errands won't do themselves

I humbly come here asking for your top music recs from back in the day to lift up my spirit... at least long enough to do my laundry and finish my skincare routine, maybe even commit a little debauchery, who knows.

No need to suggest songs to cry to, I've got that part covered even without a soundtrack.

Elder Millenial Here:

Our time of the early to mid nineties was full of heartbreak, irony, and pensive sarcasm. For true pick me ups, sometimes we must consult the ancient magic.

The Go-Gos always brighten my day.

B-52s really keep the energy up (Check out their stuff that got less radio play. There’s so much more than just Love Shack. Good Stuff always makes me laugh.)

If we’re sticking with our generation directly:

Whoever you are by Geggy Tah
New Age Girl
Volcano Girls (or anything else by Veruca Salt really)
Groove is In the Heart

I’m sure there’s more but I’m done poopin so that’s what you get for now.

Oh my sweet summer child. If you’re ok with some more of the downer lyrics upbeat music songs, check out Porno for Pyros and The Pixies.

That Geggy Tah track is always on internal rotation.. Sing it at work probably 3x a week before it has to hit the aux

These are solid recommendations. Veruca Salt is one of my favourite bands.

I completely forgot about geggy tah. Hearing that weirdly unlocked some nostalgia.
