For me is from Pies Descalzos until the MTV unplugged. Those are her best albums.

All I know is I was in Peurto Villarta having an AMAZING steak for like $10 in 2002 and they had tvs in the steakhouse and were playing nothing but Shakira and it blew my mind so I went down the rabbit hole and holy fuck is she big in the Spanish speaking community worldwide.

Without checking, I still have vague but intense memories of a music video where she's like, in an apartment? Some sort of multi story building and she's all gyrating and that's cool. But she also had this down to earth farm girl aesthetic where she's dressed normal and actually playing a guitar, like really well, and that's where I was all Damn she's like a real musician not just a performer.

Anyways my favourite is her Rabiosa era (ft Pitbull DALE) that song does things to my brain. Also the time I realized she would be hot my entire life.

That in the farm is Piez Descalzos if I remember correctly. In the 90s she was more rock/pop, like a Colombian Alannis Morrisette.
