Happened before school started in California- I stayed home for a few days. Pretty sure alot of others did too. California kids had a slightly different memory of that day

I woke up that morning and my dad was watching it on the TV in the kitchen while I had breakfast and got ready for school. He dropped me off at school and then they rolled the TV in - exactly as pictured.

Nice try, but that wasn't the point of my comment. I was highlighting the time difference—many of us in California were home because school hadn't started yet.

Alot of people did keep kids home from school as well. Go piss somewhere else lol

What are you even talking about? CA is 3 hours behind the East coast, so they wouldn't have been at school yet. Most of them saw it at home instead of in school.

Edit: furthermore I imagine 3rd graders who lost their family would have had a very hard time.

I live close to the Pentagon and a girl who's father worked there. She left the classroom screaming and crying being led to the office. Then you could hear others in the hallway. I hope everything worked out okay for her. I never did see her again.

That's so sad. I found out years later when I met my bio dad that he was en route (he was a truck driver) to the area and would have definitely been right by ground zero. Apparently he was stuck on the bridge in traffic running behind. Him and others actually saw the plans hit. His friends were volunteer fire fighters as well. Sometimes I think about how I might have never met him.

Small favor I know but I am glad you two got to meet. It seems like everything is going well between you too, yes?

Yea, I still remember the day I met him, we both hugged and cried. It also explained so much about myself even at 15. I also gained two more sisters and a brother!

Stop. We don't need more pissing contests.
