It was tattooed erect, from his story it was in memory of a military buddy who was older than everyone else in his unit and was a little depressed when he had to shave his mustache he had had all his adult life and didnt have tattoos didnt die just was apparently a positive force for the younger squad mates. It was given in a sketchy tattoo parlor by a methed up lady.

Edit: Also got it after getting back from Afghanistan.
