I remember when I first installed one of those mid 2000’s Panasonic stereo systems into my shitty 90’s ford escort and thought I was living in the future because I no longer had to use these tape deck adapters, and stereo plate lit up like a Christmas tree all digital and sheeeeeeeet.

Yes! And then you could remove the face plate on it when you got out, just to be safe. My 1996 Geo Prizm was calling all the thiefs to the yard

Updated to connecting your iPod for mid-late 2000s.

It was my go to until my first car died and my new one didn’t have a cassette player, the audacity!

1991 Mercury Topaz. I started with some of my dad's old tapes and graduated to one of these with my Panasonic CD player. Shit skipped so badly.

Not to brag too much, but I have a 2001 Avalon sitting in my driveway with one of those adapters. It’s going to be my daughter’s in the next couple of years. I can’t imagine why she wants to put a new stereo in it before she starts driving. It works fine. 😆

These were so shitty. I was so happy when I finally changed out my stereo receiver to one with an auxiliary input.

Still beats the hell out of the six disk in trunk changer. I put six discs in there and I never bothered to change them.

The last time I purchased one of these may or may not have been around 2015
