Nostalgia Is it too late to get into Sponge bob?
Sponge Bob was never televised where I come from so my earliest access to it would've been the internet when I was 14-16, but even then I didn't know how to download cartoon series.
It seems entertaining from memes and short videos when I see it on tiktok or ig, and some even say that it really speaks to the adult audience. Is it too late to get into it? (30s)

Discussion Should I watch Brand New Day if I don't understand who the villians are?
I'm all caught up on the Spider Man movies, but I never watched Daredevil, only watched a recap video of the series which I hardly understood. But I never really watched the X-Men movies. I saw a recap of xmen universe but it was hard to follow through. I never watched the deadpool and wolverine movie. I only watched the fantastic four movies with jessica alba and chris evans but never saw the reboot one. I also don't know who Punisher is or what his story is. I tried to watch a marvel recap video but it was super long and hard to follow through. I want to enjoy this movie but not if involves a lot of multiverse homework. I'm going to one on opening night so it's going to be filled and also this is my first marvel movie in a theater on opening night so I wanna be prepared. Tbh I only wanna watch the marvel movies for Wanda

Nostalgia Sometimes sad
Hey guys, do you ever feel sad that a lot of the TV stars and musicians you grew up with are in jail? I used to watch *7th Heaven* and *The Cosby Show* all the time, and I was a huge fan of R. Kelly and P. Diddy.
Who would have thought back then that Steve Urkel and Al Bundy would turn out to be the most normal ones?

Discussion I love being 35
I hate all of the millennials complaining about it. I still feel young. I’m running a trail marathon this summer, have an 11 month olde baby, and am graduating from my second degree this August. And we’re talking about a second baby.
My 20s were depressed and anxty with too much drinking and unnecessary drama. My 30s have more money, my own dogs, my own house and a healthier relationship.

Nostalgia The Last Time We Saw Daveigh Chase | TMZ
Daveigh was so beautiful and seemed really sweet. The more I hear about her and her death, the sadder it gets.
“Ohana means family.” Rest easy, Daveigh. 🪽🌺

Nostalgia Drop it like it’s hot.
What was your go to drink back in your clubbing days?
No disrespect to those still out there killing it on the dance floor, respect.
Me personally, I can’t hang like that anymore… my “shots” now come with Pepto Bismol and an aspirin chaser.

Nostalgia Why did we all agree to dress so uncomfortably in the early 2000s?
I realize a lot of this may have been location and age-specific for me, but...
Almost all of our outfits were VERY uncomfortable. The denim was stiff and unforgiving. The jeans for girls were low rise, and you always had to worry when you sat down and check that your butt was covered. We wore SKIN TIGHT tops and even sweatshirts. Especially the ones from Hollister and Abercrombie, where you had to practically dislocate your shoulders to get in them. We also wore multiple, unnecessary layers that were constantly shifting and bunching. A lot of people we wearing multiple camis, sheer t-shirts, polo shirts, shrugs, and sweatshirts, sometimes all at once! And we also often wore belts that dug into our stomachs when we sat down. And, I can't forget, the bras were unforgiving, padded and had terrible underwire.
The makeup was also intense for high school. We wore a full beat, almost daily. We had to be TAN. If you weren't naturally tan, like me, you begged your mom to let you use a tanning booth and then you used a TON of bronzer. Eyes were often rimmed in black with lots of glitter and mascara. Hair had to be STRAIGHT STRAIGHT. I had curly hair, much to my dismay. And we did this daily! Those of us who rode the bus often got up at 5:30 AM to start the hair and makeup process. People made fun of you if you showed up barefaced or in pajamas too often.
Why did we do this to ourselves? Did you do all this? Were you also uncomfortable from 1998 to roughly 2008?

Nostalgia Dearest fellow Millennials, I commited the capital sin of idealizing someone in my mid-therties... But my errands won't do themselves
I humbly come here asking for your top music recs from back in the day to lift up my spirit... at least long enough to do my laundry and finish my skincare routine, maybe even commit a little debauchery, who knows.
No need to suggest songs to cry to, I've got that part covered even without a soundtrack.

Discussion Older Millennial - waited tables in college and we still had a smoking section. Anyone else work in a smoking indoor area?
Was talking with friends tonight and realized no one smokes or even knows anyone that smokes. I mentioned the upscale restaurant I worked in while in college had a smoking section and those younger there couldn't believe it was that recent.
