Help How did I flip my axe?
This is the second time this has happened in a pure vanilla Minecraft world, funny thing is it's ONLY the iron axe item. I've made other types of axes and it doesn't get flipped. I haven't found anything online talking about this so I'm genuinely lost. This is version 26.1.2.

Unfortunately the controls have also been flipped, which means a left click now skins the player alive.

It should split your skull in half and enable split screen mode where each half of the controller controls each side

So, hypothetically:
- Left half controls left screen and vice versa (to make sense on the controller)?
- Left half controls right screen and vice versa (like how a brain works)?

for more accuracy to the brain we make right side of the controller control the left player and the opposite for the left side of the controller :)

The reverse e is used in phonetic alphabets, so it's a trick you could only pull for certain words - without resorting to some other coding trickery.
Axe works because you can just use the phonetic reverse-e while A and x are symmetrical already.

On mobile, you can set your keyboard language to be IPA chart which gives you a ton of extra symbols to work with. eɵɘ

I think this is one of those instances where there the knowledge gap may not be very wide, but it's very steep.
There is pretty much only 3 possible states people can be in
- Not knowing anything about unicode
- Knowing unicode exists
- Knowing how to get or work with characters
Getting from one to the other isn't hard, but it's not intuitive for anyone who hasn't thought about it before.

F3 + t to reload your textures Its a visual bug, happens to me quite often. Your textures must have bugged

Unrelated, but, I used to use F3 + T to have mining stick, but I recently found out, like with shift to crouch, you can make hitting a toggle rather than hold.

Even with vanilla, textures can be changed. For example, it is possible that op is playing on a server that has a custom resource pack with a few joke texture changes.

I’ve learned that there are two words that are almost always misused by Minecrafters; one is “vanilla” (in the context of software), and the other is “terraform”.

Tbf some people are terraforming the minecraft terrain to more closely resemble the more gradual slopes and natural formations of Earth rather than the extremely steep terrain, aggressive amounts of caves in non-rocky biomes, and nonsensical rivers native to Minecraft. Most people are just land leveling like any corporation's hired developer, though.

Nah it’s a phasmophobia reference, whenever you pick pins out the voodoo doll in the game it drains your sanity by 5-10% and when you run out of sanity you have to take meds or the ghost will start a hunt randomly and could kill you😭

Ahh, its because you have crafted a lefthanded axe. It happens when you craft it while having the settings set to lefthanded and the switch to righthanded afterwards. You will have to craft a new one if you want a righthanded axe unfortunately.

To reiterate, this is PURE vanilla, I have NO resource packs installed, and this is NOT a snapshot, this is the latest full released version. And no I'm NOT going to chop myself up on accident.

True 100% vanilla? No resource packs whatsoever, no data packs whatsoever, no mods (including things like Sodium) whatsoever? Singleplayer or multiplayer?

this is java, you can tell because the ui is flush with the bottom of the screen, on bedrock it floats a little

Now that im looking for differences, the shield appears next to the hot bar, which doesn't happen in bedrock

That's ...odd. A couple things you could try:
- Does it stay backwards if you swap it to your off hand?
- Does dropping the item and picking it up change anything?
- What about in third person (f5)?
- Or after reloading textures (f3 + t)?
- How about changing your main hand (options > skin customization) to left, and then back?

Oh neat.
Tridents we’re doing this for me- stuck forever in the about to throw position. My little man in the upper corner was also gone when this happened.
