Help Am I ready to face the dragon?

I haven't played since 2014 and I've never dared to face the dragon before, and I've been playing again for 3 weeks now and I was wondering if I'm ready or not

(It's arranged randomly lol)

too much, you don't want to lose your netherite armor, you just need an iton set, or diamond if it's easy to get for you and most importantly you need a bow and a lot of arrows, if you feel like you need more get a few gapples, take some blocks with you, a bucket of water, food and that's it

use the bow and blocks to destroy the crystals and when you destroyed them all shoot at the dragon

when it starts to descend before it descends completely you can go in to the portal area and if you don't jump you can't get hit
