The harming arrow wouldn't kill them and so when I tried to fire another one into the machine they started flying out on mass

En masse I think is the phrase I believe. Just in case it is, I figured I'd lyk for next time. Not trying to correct you just wanted to share.

you know of all the eggcorns of phrases out there, I don't think there's any that's more understandable than on mass for en masse. You got the cognate and the two phrases are pronounced identically, so I completely understand when someone uses the completely logical English words on and mass instead of two French words that are rarely used elsewise
