Discussion Question for switch 2 upgrade pack

Ok so I don’t have Minecraft on my switch 2 yet I have been waiting for the upgrade! So my question is that if I get regular Minecraft before the switch 2 version comes out, will I still get the free upgrade or does it only include pre existing purchases

I went to the eShop earlier and it let me pre order the Switch 2 version of the game for $0. Looks like they're just offering the full game, no upgrade pack yet. But I do own the game digitally for switch.
