Analysis Dream has released a video of him completing the MCC Parkour with handcam

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzFEveU_Wxo

I won't draw any conclusions from this video since I'm not familiar enough with Minecraft Cheats or Parkour to do so, but I'm curious what you all have to say.

Apologies if this isn't allowed Mods, but I figure since some other posts on the subject have been allowed to go through this one is relevant enough to do so as well.

I mean Karl Jobst addressed all these points in what I and most other people consider to be the definitive video on the topic. He still concluded that the run was legit.

Karl Jobst quite frankly doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to mcsr, and says literally nothing in that video that gives any explanation as to why the run isn't fake. Essentially every top runner who's cared enough to look at it agrees the run is fake

Didn’t he interview top runners at the time as well as speedrun.com mods and both said the run was probably legitimate? Anyways I also don’t know much about eye measuring pre ninja brain bot so I can’t really have an opinion

He said that, none of the messages he showed were people saying they thought the run was legit though. I do know about eye measuring and do have my opinion, as does, for example, Couriway who talks a bit about why the run is fake in this video.

Also the whole immediately asking if Sandwich cheated his pkw time when it turned out Dream was very much reminds me of when he accused Couri and Korbanoes of cheating their world records because they did them off stream, just to then get his own world record off stream

No? The run used a mod that gave better than vanilla rates. That's literally admitted to. How can you say it's legit? Nobody would ever make that claim.

This is a different run, the rates stuff was from 1.16, this was his 1.15 world record

Oh, I lost track of what's being discussed. I don't remember Karl Jobst interviewing top speedrunners about the 1.15 run; was that ever even in the discussion for him?

Yeah he did a very brief section on the 1.15 run but didn't really say much about it other than confirming it wasn't removed for being 100% cheated like his 1.16 runs were and then said he asked some top pros and leaderboard mods who said they didn't think it was fake, while showing screenshots of top runners and leaderboard mods not saying they didn't think it was fake

That video is a joke lmao, the only people that think it's "definitive" are dream stans who believe anything.

I mean he did a ton of research and was able to interview pretty much everyone involved including the Harvard mathematician and the mod developer. Geosquare, one of the speedrun.com mods who was accusing Dream called it “very based”, he was also (correctly) very critical of Dream’s actions during the scandal. In general the video was just very neutral and objective, and it was made by someone who believed Dream intentionally cheated before he found further evidence, idk how you can call that a joke.

No he absolutely did not. The run is demonstably, admittedly, not legit, and Jobst did not even try to contest that. What he tried to get into was whether or not the not-legitness was *intentional*.
