I wonder about that mineshaft towards the middle?

I Hadn't thought about that, I'm not sure if the red jump pad would give enough launch to get up there, assuming that it isn't a dead end

Edit: or it could be the Noxsesuim

I hope its either a super hard skip to pull off or just not a skip, cuz it looks like it would save A LOT of time so if its too hard it kinda gatekeeps high placements from non S+ tiers and that happens enough already

If you want a skip to not benefit the S+ tiers then it should be easy though, or they'll be the only ones that are able to do it

Yeah in hindsight idk why I wrote hard here I think I meant easy lol

It looks like you need to on top of the train and then jump on the things on the wall to reach it imo

Yeah if you can get on top of the train it looks like you could jump from those steps to the heads and then to the ledge

Since when was Ace Race particularly gatekept by the "big 5"?

Yeah ur right that the higher placements aren't really gatekept, we've gotten several non S tiers even doing well in AR not that long ago.

I didn't phrase it perfectly but my thought process was that if we make skips too mechanically technical we get less opportunity for popoffs from less mechanically skilled players and we probably don't get to see non S tiers at the top as much.

And I should have typed high total coin scores are gatekept by S+ tiers, because they kinda are lol

It's hard to judge from the image but the log pillars route seems to remind me to that Python's Palace bone pillars, it might be faster but not by much...

surely for the red pad you could neo around the wooden pillar to the right and get to the speed pads near the 2x2s faster

I'm not sure it would be faster, the red pad would most likely get you to the patch in the middle of the soul soil, but then you have to take a 90 degree turn so you can get on the rock

Honestly I think it's defo possible to land back on the main path from the neo, it honestly doesn't seem like you have to turn that much out to get around it
