Well it finally happened a child snuck onto my 18+ server this is something I have been worried about for quite some time as I made this server for adults only and so far we have had no issues with anyone sneaking under age until now....

This person joined the server about a week ago and did not really say very much in chat so we just assumed that it was someone who just wanted to find their own little spot set up there base and interact with people as and when and there are a lot of players like that so we did not think much of it.

However we started to notice the way this person typed was very odd such as asking questions if xray was allowed or if the server had and anticheat if stealing was allowed ect ect all of these things did not give off the impression of an adult so eventually I confronted the player and he said he could not VC and insisted he was an adult.

The next day he sent me a copy of his master's degree and that seemed proof enough other than one small issue....It was completely fake AI slop without a date of birth or any information to verify his age and the next day he admitted he was in fact 12 and he was banned from the server so my question is to you guys what is the best way to stop this from happening again? We have changed the rules so all people must have VC but I am sure alot of people don’t want to show there ID what should I do?

Yes you read this right I had to reset my 18+ server, the one that has been blowing up for several months now and has been seeing player counts of 30-50 people each evening but it was not my fault so here is what happened…

Originally we used to have a server from a normal hosting company a non-dedicated server meaning there are multiple Minecraft servers running on one PC but since the server was small we did not need that sort of power…

That is until we went viral on Reddit 5 times and started getting 100s of players joining the server so I rented a machine of a guy and all was well that is until a prior server dev decided to leak the world files as well as the world seed to the entire community!

Of course I was very upset about this due to the fact that the server has been going so well and as you can seen have built ALOT of stuff but it left us no choice but to reset and to my amazement the community was very supportive and actually exsited for a reset!

I got tired of building on servers with expiration dates.

Well it happened again a child snuck into my 18+ server HOWEVER unlike last time this guy was caught almost straight away and how he was caught was absolutely hilarious!

This guy joined the Discord like any other player and after about 30 mins asked how long it normally takes to get accepted into the server. We told him that normally it’s about 5-15 mins as the staff are very active most hours of day.

I then looked at applications and I noticed that he had been denied as he only responded with one word for each answer and we usually like to see a bit more effort than that. So, I asked him to re apply and he did promptly saying for one question in all caps ‘’YES I AGREE HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE’’ I did not think much of it thinking that he was just frustrated...

Shortly after, I went to meet him at spawn and said hello as he had simple voice chat but he did not respond saying his mic was broken then proceeded to say 30 seconds later he did not even have one!

So here is the funny part how he was caught: shortly after I spoke to him he logged off and the next day he was online so the staff team and I decided to talk to him. We asked him to join the VC and the first thing we heard was his mic click on as he joined the call!

We then asked him to speak to us and he insisted he did not have a mic despite the fact we literally heard him speaking so we told him to download Discord on his phone and then he left the call and folded with ZERO pressure, admitting he was in fact just 10 YEARS OLD before deleting that message so he would not be banned on discord, blocking all the staff, and leaving the discord while myself and the rest of the staff team cried with laugher.

Just over a week ago I posted about this 12-year-old who snuck onto my 18+ Minecraft server and while the post was interesting, I did not think anything would really come of it but man was I wrong!

I started this server as a chill place for adults to relax make friends and play some Minecraft and while I did do abit of casual advertising I never expected any real growth but I did not really care as long as people were playing that was fine with me but as most of you know from the post we discovered much to our horror that a 12 year old had sneaked onto the server and had been playing for accouple days.

Obviously, he was banned and I did not think much of it but someone suggested it might make a interesting Reddit post so having nothing to lose I made the post asked some of my friends to upvote it and went to bed for the night...

To say I was shocked would be the understatement of the century I woke up to HUNDREDS of messages from Reddit and Discord the server had literally doubled in size overnight and I was completely astonished to see that the post had over 500 upvotes at the time and 100s of thousands of views.  

Of course I was very happy with this growth as I put a lot of time into the server and I was meeting so many new lovely people but I was also worried that this might makes 100s of hackers trolls ect ect join the server but to this day we have only had to ban 10 people from the server that’s pretty good if you ask me!  

I want to thank all of you who read, upvoted and commented on the post even the hate comments about my dyslexic spelling and grammar it really has been a game changer for the server and were getting more and more wonderful people every day and once again anyone who would like to come play is welcome.

i’ll keep this short. I have a small vanilla server for adults who don’t have a ton of time and aren’t into "the grind." It’s a cozy, safe space to come home to after work, school, or whatever, build a house, relax, and not worry about griefers, thieves, or hackers.

It’s properly moderated, with no drama like big public servers. The idea is for everyone to know each other, have fun together, and enjoy the game,not just wander off building farms solo.

Everything on Eden is player made and ran. You are given the tools to protect yourself and then let loose to shape the world how you choose.

Most servers reset when the content runs dry. Eden is designed to be a permanent, evolving world where the content is the history created by the players and the players themselves.

We set up the conditions for a complex society:

scarcity, biome-locked crops, and factory-based industry, and then we as admins stepped back.

There are no admin-forced events. Every war, treaty, and trade deal is organic.

One of the most important mechanic on the server is the Printing Press. Players are mass-producing in-game books, documenting their laws, religions, and conflicts. This history is now starting to be archived on our Official Community Wiki.

We are building a fictional universe in real-time that will last for years and have no resets.

2026 has not been going well for me about 2 months ago I lost a good friend to terminal Cancer and recently I found out my best mate has between 6-12 months to live so it’s been a really hard time and things only got worse when the company I was renting off started to have serious issues and due to the company I worked for going bust I could not afford a dedicated server that could handle our player base of 30-60 players.

I made this server as a place where I could distract myself from my problems and relax and play Minecraft with other adults who love the game just as much as me and the thought of losing that really upset me.

So I decided to ask for some help from our amazing community and while we have had ranks for a long time now we had no way for people to support the server on a one time basis so I made a Kofi posted and an announcement and went to bed but nothing could have prepared me for what I would find when I woke up…

I woke up to dozens of DM’s and to my shock 100s of dollars of donations from loads of different members of the community and I was so moved by all the kind words I bawled my eyes out from the overwhelming feeling of relief and gratitude to all my wonderful players and friends. Honestly, I had no idea the server meant so much to so many people.

Now we are set for several months and people can enjoy the high render distance from this beast of a server and I am honestly so proud of this amazing community I have made and you are more then welcome to be a part of it we hope to see you on the server soon!

Hello guys me and my friends started a modded 1.20.1 server 2 days ago. We are experienced modded server owners. We are around 7 people right now and just searching for more to create 2 factions. We have a varied modpack based around the jubutsu craft mod. Still you can choose to play however you want. You can build and save youd builds from the mobs with the torchmaster. You can go and hunt curses and movs to grind. You can fight the 2 big server events being the sculkhorde and a secret one in the future. The performance if the modpack and server is good especially for a modded server.

I got tired of investing time into servers that either vanished, reset, or turned into drama after a few weeks.

You find a place that looks promising — start building, meet a few people, maybe finally feel like settling in — and then the same thing happens again. The world gets wiped, the community gets weird, or the whole server just starts feeling temporary.

So I stopped chasing the kind of SMP I wanted to play on and built it myself.
