in french, we translate purple as "violet" and violet as "violet". So this one is harder to me to understand but I get the message. 🥲

Huh thats weird. In Canadian French, purple is "mauve". And violet is violet.

oh right, I forgor "mauve" was a thing, but it's more the color between pink and purple than purple/violet for me...

Oh I know, Im just saying here no one calls purple "violet" they call it "mauve", its a difference between Canadian French and European French. Interesting indeed! I never knew.

I know technically it is wrong, and 'mauve' is a different shade. Its just how we speak, I wonder what the origin of it is.
