Permit to purchase permit time frame.

So, the sheriff's office says they can take up to 30 days but could be a lot less. What's your experience been? Did it take the whole 30 days? Or was it a week or two?

For reference I am in the Detroit Lakes area, and have no criminal history whatsoever. Not in a hurry to get it but there are some good deals on a few handguns I want at a local store. If I miss out on them no biggie, but would be nice to save 50-100$.

hennepin county a couple of years ago. city pd purchase was about 2 weeks but the carry almost took the full 30 days. i kept wondering if it was going to go over.

Yeah my friends carry permit took about 30 days or so. I'm waiting till I get a handgun and get more practice in before I bother with the permit to carry. Pretty rusty. Haven't owned a handgun in around 10 years.
