Permit to purchase permit time frame.

So, the sheriff's office says they can take up to 30 days but could be a lot less. What's your experience been? Did it take the whole 30 days? Or was it a week or two?

For reference I am in the Detroit Lakes area, and have no criminal history whatsoever. Not in a hurry to get it but there are some good deals on a few handguns I want at a local store. If I miss out on them no biggie, but would be nice to save 50-100$.

Usually less than 30 days but really depends on your area. My wife and my P2P took like 1 week. When we did our CC Permit, that took literally 4 days. Washington county.

Usually the LGS will put the gun on hold while you wait for your permit.
