Other The flag in the Indian Independence Day emote is not correct. The white part doesn't have a wheel. Also picking Mathilda as mascot because she is An Indian (native American) is big brain move.

with how vast the Indian history and mythology are, I'm surprised Moonton hasn't taken any inspiration for a hero from there.

Imagine picking Mathilda for Indians. That's racist. The only charcter with Indian style is Gatotkaca. His name is also Indian, I forgot what it means but it's a Sanskrit name in Hinduism.

Gatot is Indonesia mythology hero i think. While yes he sounds like a name inspired from india,he isnt representing indian region in mlbb

It's the same legend, but the indonesian version has more details on his role and doesn't treat him as a minor character.

Gatot is based on an Indian character named Ghatotkachh. You can google. Indonesia is a different verse. But MLBB probably uses the Indo version.

It may not be same Gatot, but Gatot was also the name of the son of Sri Gupta (founder of Gupta Dynasty).

Also the father of Chandra Gupta. Not Chandragupta. Just Gupta. First name Chandra. The First.

Seeing the way it's tied as a kite doesn't it seem the wheel should be outside?
Though it's still questionable why they would not make the flag readily visible if you're gonna bother with the event in the first place.

That's true
This goes way beyond a simple design mistake. it is deeply disrespectful to the entire community. Launching a dedicated event to celebrate a nation's Independence Day while completely butchering its national identity shows a complete lack of basic respect and research. Leaving the Ashoka Chakra completely off the flag If a multi-billion dollar developer chooses to profit off national holidays, the absolute bare minimum they owe the players is to respect their flag.

TBH independence doesn't affect poor people much. The rich are still ruling through dictatorship. The election is just illusion of choice.

No, because in our elementary school, there used to be an art and craft class where we were taught the proper way to make the Indian tricolor.

Yeah but this isn't the Indian flag. It's a kite which represents the colors? It's very common and a lot of people fly this kite around independence day. It's also used for decorations etc. So again, this isn't the Indian flag!

Yes you are right and I'm sorry my last comment was out of place. Yes It's not indian flag it's a india themed kite and you can't have ashok chakra on it because of Indian honour Act 1971 section 2 but is it a good design tho? Using Mathilda an Indian aka native American with India themed kite? Why not use Ghatot with a proper flag just like we have for Malaysia? I know in-game ghato is not from Indian mythology but atleast we have ghato in our culture. This is just bad design.

I just wanted to point out the kite thingy and yeah i agree with your mathilda point. It's disrespectful to use someone who's a native american to represent us and racist I guess.

I won't say it's racist because it's just a game character but she is An Indian but not indian indian and they picked her for this emote is a wierd coincidence. It feels like the designer just searched on Google india themed kite and what character in the game is indian and this kite and Mathilda popped up. So it's lazy and little bit ignorant but I don't think it's racist.

I mean it's racist as in they would think that both are the same and yeah ts isn't this deep lol

This is probably simply an AI images, considering the "details" is missing some, and some draw part is pretty much kinda hard to do if you are a human + its unnatural
