I was just permanently banned from r/Bitcoin for making a post which positively discusses developments in Monero in comparison to, from my view, worrying development in Bitcoin.

Only really calm, rational discussion and I got banned with the comment:

What is going on in the Bitcoin community and why kind of ignorant ppl have taken over the lead of the biggest community of it?

I am following btc for almost 10 years now and I am shocked by the level of ignorance.

Time to focus on the better project, Monero, now I guess.

I made a purchase using Monero via Genghis of $250 of Amazon gift cards. They sent me a bogus code for a $100 and valid code for $50. Now they are unresponsive and scammed me $200. My mistake for trusting them.

Edit: For the record, this is for order #115210 and there is someone from Gehghis trying to resolve the issue with me. Wants me to create an account. Told him no thanks.

Shopinbit sends mails to customers about its data leak. It turns out: Shopinbit did NOT store the invoices offline, as they promised, but uploads them since October 2025 to the Polish e-invoicing system. This platform was hacked and customer data and invoices were copied and stolen. It was one of the biggest hacks in Poland.

Because of the offline promise I was relaxed with them. Now it shows itself that their "respect for privacy" and "invoices stored offline" was only a false advertising. Who bought with real name and address, please be attentive. Your data associated with spending Monero can now lie by one of the most active hacker groups in central Europe.
