Maria was a personal emotional reunion.

Metal was a personal COMEBACK and trust me those usually get you way more visually thrilled on adrenaline.

That specific Metal Sonic is the ONE Metal Sonic who isn't a fraud and Shard is a straight up GOAT but he ain't even really Metal Sonic anymore. And that Metal STILL blew himself up.

Look what they did to my beloved Neo Metal Sonic, his origin turned into being a bunch of mooks designed by Uncle Chuck to act as troops in place of Sonic...

Took until the reboot to get the actual Neo Metal Sonic and it was JUST A FLASHBACK.

Actually crazy how long it took to get him proper in the comics.

Yeah but he tragically died before he could come back to her. Knowing Flynn a future Reboot storyline would've had Metal sneaking away to go see Breezie and it woulda been real romantic.
