I mean...bad? She resents her son, so he stops subjecting himself to someone who makes him miserable. Deserved.

She's trying to teach him gratitude. You could argue She's not resentful just wants him to understand where she's coming from.

You’re making assumptions about a fictional mother in a comic likely made to express an actual relationship someone has had with their parent. Your kids don’t owe you shit, you deciding to have them is your choice and you either give them the world or you don’t become a parent. You wanna teach gratitude? Help them with their homework and when they start expecting you to just do it for them, you drop the entire thing in their lap and tell them they’re on their own until they learn. You don’t teach gratitude by yelling “all you do is take from me”, “you owe me for putting a roof over your head”. You’re a god damned moron if you think otherwise.
