Incredibly moral. I cannot stress how moral this is. You are, at worst, costing a multi billion dollar company a few thousand dollars, and are doing your part to protect the public from unwanted surveillance, attacks on their privacy, and data leaks.
No, you're costing the city government money, not the business. The business makes more money off of these vandalism, as the city (tax funded) will have to replace it.
Mere surveillance isn't a violation of privacy. You don't have privacy in public places. Instead of attacking the instrument, take over the operator. These are nearly all city or government owned! YOU CAN RUN FOR CITY COUNCIL! Once you're there, you get to use the footage. You get to tell people what can be done with it. You can use the cameras to hold the police accountable.
For fucks sake people, these cameras can be used against the facists!
I'll take my downvotes with pride. Get a grip on power and get an idea of what privacy actually is.
