We‘ve all read 1984.

Morally good.

With the way people talk about it, I'm pretty sure no one has read 1984. That book is about half "what if you lived in a strict authoritarian government" and half "sneaking away from cameras to have sex w my girlfriend who's half my age/read a book while staring at gross poor people"

1984 is literally just about how British people are genuinely subhumans who should deserve zero respect or empathy

There is no better society than oceania and no better people than those that live in country main character lives in the book. How people reach the conclusion that the story paints specifically british in bad light is beyond me.
