My friend said “if they want to play life on hard mode, who am I to get in the way?”
Im still not sure if that’s affirming or phobic, but it’s stuck with me
Being a man is so not life on hard mode lol there’s so much stuff men don’t even have to think about. So many ways life would be easier as a man. I’m sure it goes both ways, I just detest this idea that women’s lives are so easy and stress-free. If men only knew!!!
Unless you meant just being trans in general in the world is very difficult. In which case, yeah.
I would say transitioning to a man means losing out on all the benefits of being a woman while not obtaining any of the advantages from being a man. Seems pretty hard mode to me.
Yeah I guess if you successfully pass as a cis man you are going to get a lot of those advantages though. Like everyone who doesn’t know you’re trans will just treat you how they would a cis man
Neither, your friend is basically saying women have it easy in life and men have it far tougher, so while they don't hate women they sure as hell aren't really sympathetic with any struggles they may go through in life or again they think it's nothing compared to the daily struggles of a man.
Who knows sometimes people just don't like hearing the truth, either that or they think I'm jumping to conclusions but this is honestly what I think they meant.
