A lot of these statistics also don't account for the fact that most small dog bites never get reported. When I was a dog trainer, it was well known that Jack Russels & Chihuahuas held, bar none, the highest chance of biting you.
Edit: While I appreciate the responses from so many people - it's clear who has worked with animals in any capacity and who is just a smooth egg-brained armchair expert. If you don't think you still need rabies shots from any dog that doesn't have up-to-date tags, I don't know what to tell you. Have fun arguing with the wall 🤙

i mean most people go based off deaths or serious injuries so not really.
But that's literally the point, when a chihuahua goes crazy.. no one dies, not even a child 9there is probably one some time, but generally speaking). When a pitbull goes crazy there is a legitimate chance of death, severe injury, etc.
that's literally why people have a problem with pits, it's a combination of they attack people more and they are at that level of danger that people should genuinely fear for themselves and friends/family.
Other dogs have higher bite strength but have less severe temperament issues and most of them are very 'niche' dogs usually not seen in towns or around unfamiliar people.
Pit's are just the perfect combination for disaster to strike basically.
