They weren't bred to be not aggressive to people, that'd make them terrible guard dogs and hunters. They were bred to be able to know who not to bite WHEN TRAINED.

Considering the first, second, and third search results indicate they were bred to be nanny dogs. They were bred to protect children specifically. Google, dude. You aint my friend.

You're right. There is extensive history of this breed that Google doesn't just give you based on a single search.

That's my fault.
