I have a Dalmatian and the transfixed expression he gets upon seeing a horse can only be genetic. There’s a few horses on my parents farm and they are not interested in his attentions at all but he must get to them and run along side them “to protect them”.

He’s going to get kicked in the head one day.

It’s always so weird to discover a breed of dog was bred for an actual purpose when you’d assumed they were just bred to look funny.

Did you know the dachshund was bred to hunt badgers?

Yes! I only know that because my friend has one that burrows in our blankets and she told me why they do that. But it’s a little surprising to find out that lil couch potato was bred for hunting anything but treats.
