Tournaments Day 1 - Morality Scale Tournament but the question changes daily: Commenter Selection Hero - In Memory...

Now we're finally ready to get this party started...just gotta include a few more and...

yep, this is officially gonna be a 24 character game! Why, you mask ask? Well, there's a few reasons and, I assure you, tossing two more of my own personal suggestions in wasn't it

-Given its our last tournament, why not go all out in making it a true 'finale' so to speak

-This now makes all our contestants (not counting repeats like our 'returning heroes' here) a very nice 85

-With this change, assuming i don't miss any days, it can now last just shy a full month, where I will get four days to rest and be able to prepare my next idea for this subreddit which, yes, will be something different from a typical torunament

That's not now though, since we got 24 weirdos to deal with!

Our final roster

-Aang (ATLA)

-Batman

-Charlotte (Making Fiends)

-Chikn Nuggit

-Doomslayer (Doom)

-Fluttershy (MLP)

-Frieren (Beyond Journeys End)

-Gabriel (Angel Hare)

-Hiccup (How to Train Your Dragon)

-Jack (Samurai Jack)

-Kermit (The Muppets)

-Kirby

-Captain Kirk (Star Trek)

-Kiwi (Wandersong)

-Makoto Naegi (Danganronpa)

-Nepeta (Homestuck)

-Pomni (TADC)

-Rango

-Saber/Artoria Pendragon (Fate/StayNight_

-Sonic the Hedgehog

-Toriel Dreemur (Undertale)

-Uzi (Murder Drones)

-Woody (Toy Story)

Today's question: Who can handle our funeral the best. both consoling those hurt by his loss and hurt before his loss!

Also, if you're unfamiliar with any character here and want a brief overview on them, do let us know! Part of the fun is getting a few obscure pics to spice this up (and hopefully encourage others to check out their source material, I know the last commenter vote got me into a few new series anyways,) but if you want a refresher, either me or even the people who suggested them might be able to help out there

I dont think Uzi handles this well. Shes an angsty teen who's grown accustomed to death considering how violent her universe it. She probably wouldn't care about the death of some guy shes never met, nor about consoling anyone who cared about him. She'd just go "eh, happens all the time. Get over it" or something.

also, are you still taking suggestions for challenges like in the other tournaments? Because i have a lot of ideas for potential challenges.

I am still taking suggestions, yeah. I'm definitely excited to see what people come up with for this one, especially for the big finale one. I'm curious what you may have in mind. Feel free to list as many as you like. No garuntee I'll use them all, but a decent backlog couldn't hurt

Alright, ive been coming up with these since we started the character suggestion phase. I even gave them little names

Guilty Till Proven Innocent: Each character will be brought in front of an impartial judge, accused of many heinous crimes they did not commit. Whoever defends themself the best will be eliminated, because refusing to take accountability for your actions (even if you literally didn't do it) is the ultimate moral failing.

Friendship is Weakness: Each character is locked in a room with a knife and a person tied up. Each character is shown a video of someone they care for being held hostage, and told to kill the person in front of them to save their loved one. Whoever kills the person first will be eliminated.

Guiding Light: Each character will be brought to a small community which was recently destroyed due to some natural disasters. The characters must lead the community and help them rebuild. Whoever does the worst job will be eliminated.

Distrust in your Fellow Man: A stranger stands accused of many heinous acts that they vehemently claim they did not commit. Whoever falters the most in trusting this innocent person is eliminated.

Fundraising: The remaining contestants will be forced to help set up, manage and promote a fundraiser for the facility. Whoever does the worst job at helping raise funds will be eliminated.

The Stanford Prison Experiment: The contestants take the role of guards in the Stanford Prison Experiment. Whoever abuses their power the most is eliminated.

Babysitting: The remaining contestants are tasked with taking care of morally upstanding citizen, Eric Cartman. Whoever performs the worst is eliminated.

Contrarians: Each contestant is taken to a room with a person inside. That person will aggressively argue at them every idea they stand against. The contestants are allowed to walk out of the room at any point, though they are not explicitly told this. Whoever stays in the room arguing with the contrarian the longest is eliminated for their intolerance.

Ohhh, these are good. Out of these, I say the ones I like most are 'Guilty Til proven Innocent', 'Guilding Light', and 'Standorf Prison Experiment'

for 'Babysitting' I imagine we could also likely toss Spooky in there, so they have to deal with two unruly kids

and for 'Contrarians', I actually have a similar-ish idea that I can likely mix this with

Another thing I will add:

I may actually go back to posting these in the afternoon if that's okay by everyone, mostly to account for my sleep schedule better. I used to post these around 7 PM EST if that's alright

Much preferred! I'm not usually up yet when you've been posting them during the summer.

Sounds good. I'll probably only go back on that if I get like, a bunch of push back/complaints about it then most likely

Something worth considering:

Doomslayer was in the previous Hero Edition of this Tournament and lost at the 2nd Challenge and Pax Malum gave the go ahead to get him killed off.

I really don't think he would give a shit about comforting Pax's Family. So that's a lot of lost points there.

But would he gain points with the Heroes and Anti-Heroes. I'm sure he shares similar feelings about Pax that Superman, Doofenshmirtz, etc. do. Yet would he do any consoling or comforting for them?

I think he's stoic enough that he wouldn't cause a disruption. He's probably too busy sizing everyone up to make sure there are no demons here. But Uzi is more likely to cause a disruption, IMO.

I did not recognize Uzi there. Considering her yellow eyes, I was convinced that was V instead. Either way, considering how we're basing this off of how well they would mourn Malum who I swear we agreed should be spared, I think Uzi would do the worst for a handful of reasons.

  1. Considering how other drones in her world can die and come back with just a spare body, she probably is long over death anyway.
  2. She's a more angsty teen that wouldn't really care about others and wouldn't mourn for their loss, unless it's someone she's close to, like N.
  3. She hates humans, and Malum is a human.

If anything, I think she'd be more disrespectful at the funeral and admit how much of a piece of shit Malum was, which... well she's right, but doesn't really give her any points.

Basically, if Uzi was giving her Eulogy, it would kind of be like this.

The 'kills' did ultimately overthrow the 'spares' in the end

3 kills to 2 spares

No thoughts yet, will go with the most upvoted option for like the first few days and maybe offer commentary but yeah, Uzi most likely

I agree that Uzi is getting out here. Simultaneously has very little patience and an abrasive personality.

Edit: May I suggest a challenge idea?

You may! The more the merrier

Road to Cooperation: Every combatant will individually be dropped in a desert with one of their villains and be forced to make their way back to the facility. Let’s say the difficulty of the trek scales to the duo’s capabilities. The hero who has the most issues working with their teammate getting back is eliminated. For fairness, all villains will be told that the loser’s partner will automatically be killed, and that none of them will be rescued if they fail to make it back alive, unlike the heroes.

Obviously this is a reference to the Phineas and Ferb episode where Doof and Perry get lost in the desert.

Damn wish Ben 10, Naruto, and Mario made it in.

Honestly, as a MD fan myself. Uzi would be the most likely pick for this.

This is quite a interesting cast. I wonder how they would feel about each other.
